Ensuring safety for tourists at beaches, tourist areas and on waterways

On October 17, the survey team of An Giang province led by Colonel Diep Van The, Deputy Director of An Giang Provincial Police, had a working session with the People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Zone to survey and assess the actual safety assurance work at a number of beaches, public beaches and organizations and individuals with waterway vehicles transporting passengers in the area.

At the meeting, representatives of departments, branches and localities discussed, exchanged and contributed many practical ideas related to management and ensuring safety for tourists at beaches, tourist areas and on waterways.

Opinions focused on strengthening coordination between functional forces; regularly checking and reviewing means of transport; and at the same time stepping up propaganda and instructing safety skills for people and tourists.

Through surveys and discussions, the working group requested localities, establishments, organizations and individuals operating in the fields of tourism and water transport to continue to closely coordinate with the police force, regularly review and update rescue plans, proactively grasp the situation and promptly deploy measures to ensure safety for people and tourists.

At the same time, advise and propose to People's Committees at all levels to synchronously implement preventive solutions, improve the effectiveness of management, inspection and supervision of activities at beaches and waterway vehicles, contributing to ensuring security, safety and order in Phu Quoc special economic zone.
