Conference of prisoners' families at Dak Trung Prison in 2025

The conference was attended by 300 inmates, representing more than 3,500 prisoners currently serving their sentences at the prison, along with numerous relatives and family members of the inmates.

At the conference, the Prison Management Board reported on the work of educating prisoners, implementing policies and regulations for prisoners, and providing training and vocational education for prisoners.

Accordingly, over the past period, Dak Trung Prison has strictly complied with the 2019 Law on Execution of Criminal Sentences, decrees, circulars, and guidelines of the Ministry of Public Security . The detention, education, and rehabilitation of prisoners have been carried out according to the correct procedures and authority, ensuring security and order.

The inmates received vocational training certificates.

In addition, the prison fully implements regulations on food, accommodation, medical care, visits, and gift-giving for inmates; and organizes many educational, labor, vocational training, cultural, and sports activities to help inmates develop self-discipline, comply with regulations, strive to work and learn, and work towards rehabilitation, so that they can soon benefit from leniency policies, return to their families, and reintegrate into the community.

In addition, the prison has strengthened its connection with inmates' families, regularly organizing family conferences to foster bonds between family members, create a space for inmates and their families to meet, and provide inmates with more spiritual motivation and a sense of responsibility towards their families and society, thereby encouraging them to strive for better learning, work, and rehabilitation.

Thanks to this, the work of education and rehabilitation has achieved many good results; specifically, since the beginning of the year, over 340 prisoners have had their sentences reduced and have been reunited with their families.

At the conference, Colonel Tran Van Dung, the prison warden, presented vocational training certificates to 10 inmates who had completed courses in weaving, carpentry, and motorcycle repair; awarded 10 gifts from the Golden Heart Fund to encourage inmates who do not frequently receive visits from their relatives; and launched a fundraising campaign for the Golden Heart Fund, which received a positive response from businesses and relatives of the inmates.
