By 2025, the Red Cross Societies of the Central Highlands and Central Coastal provinces will assist over 2 million vulnerable people.

On the morning of December 11th, in Thanh Hoa province, Cluster No. 4 of the Red Cross Societies of the Central Highlands and Central Coastal provinces held a conference to review the work of the Red Cross and its activities in 2025 and to implement tasks for 2026.

In 2025, the Red Cross Societies of the provinces in Emulation Cluster No. 4 continued to select key, priority, and groundbreaking activities that adapted to the new circumstances. As a result, all basic targets set by the provincial societies were achieved and exceeded at a high level.

The total value of activities during the year reached over 1.1 trillion VND (the highest ever), assisting over 2 million people and averaging 143% of the annual targets and plans of the provincial associations.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thanh, Member of the Central Standing Committee of the Association, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Red Cross Society, and Head of Emulation Cluster No. 4, delivered a speech at the conference.

The social work and humanitarian assistance activities of the provincial associations continued to achieve many positive results. In particular, the "Compassionate Tet" campaign for the Year of the Snake 2025 attracted the participation of a large number of people from all walks of life, philanthropists, and businesses in the localities. Through this campaign, over 750,000 Tet gifts were distributed with a total value of nearly 350 billion VND; all 9 provincial associations exceeded the targets set by the Central Association.

To implement the "Humanitarian Month" in 2025, units in the cluster launched the campaign "A Million Steps of Compassion - Continuing the Golden Chapter of History"; implementing the "Humanitarian Month" in 2025 with the theme "Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love," linked to the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in accordance with the spirit of Directive No. 42/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister .

The campaign to support the Cuban people on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (December 2, 1960 - December 2, 2025) was widely implemented by provincial associations, receiving support from over 56,000 organizations and individuals, with a total amount exceeding 74.5 billion VND.

During the conference, representatives from provincial Red Cross branches further clarified the achievements made and proposed solutions to effectively implement the goals set for the Red Cross work and movement in 2026.

Based on the achievements, Emulation Cluster No. 4 has set forth several key tasks in the work of the Association and the Red Cross movement in 2026. Accordingly, the units will continue to effectively implement Conclusion No. 44-KL/TW, dated November 14, 2022, of the Central Party Secretariat (13th term) on continuing to implement Directive No. 43-CT/TW of the Central Party Secretariat (10th term) "On strengthening the Party's leadership over the work of the Vietnam Red Cross in the new situation"; promptly complete the merger, consolidation, and establishment of Red Cross branches in communes, wards, and special zones; effectively implement the "Humanitarian Tet" and "Humanitarian Month" movements and humanitarian activities to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Red Cross (November 23, 1946 - November 23, 2026); To implement synchronously and effectively the fundraising campaign and secure funding for Red Cross activities during "Humanitarian Month" in 2026...

Earlier (on December 10th), the delegation from the Red Cross Societies of the provinces in the cluster visited several exemplary operational models and provided support for humanitarian activities in Thanh Hoa province.
