At the gala night, Lieutenant General Nguyen Duc Hung performed the ritual of lighting the traditional torch, symbolizing the indomitable spirit, boundless loyalty, and aspiration to contribute of generations of officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces of Military Region 3.

The highlight of the program was the spectacular artistic performance, consisting of two parts: "Memories of the Fiery Era" and "Youth of Military Region 3 – Following in the Footsteps of Our Fathers." Through a series of meticulously staged and vibrant songs, dances, and musical performances, the audience was transported back to the heroic years of the nation, where countless sons and daughters of the Red River Delta bravely fought and dedicated their youth to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. Songs like "Soldiers of the Delta," "Sacred Vietnam," and "The Song of the Young Soldiers of Military Region 3" resonated with emotion, further igniting pride and faith in today's generation.

The Chief of Military Region 3 Command awarded the authors and representatives of author groups with outstanding achievements participating in the contest "Military Region 3 - 80 years of history and feats of arms".

Within the framework of the program, the Command of Military Region 3 organized the awards ceremony for the "Military Region 3 - 80 Years of History and Victories" knowledge contest. The contest attracted a large number of officers, staff, soldiers, and people in the region, becoming a widespread political activity that contributed to fostering patriotism, educating about traditions, and instilling revolutionary ideals in the youth of the Military Region's armed forces. The Organizing Committee awarded 9 A prizes, 11 B prizes, and 12 C prizes to authors and representatives of author groups who made outstanding contributions to the dissemination and promotion of the glorious traditions of the Military Region 3's armed forces.
