According to information from the Organizing Committee, with the theme "Promoting the fine traditions of Uncle Ho's soldiers; building strong, intelligent, and digitally proficient women in the military; building a strong Women's Union organization, contributing to building a clean, strong, and exemplary Party Committee of the military; a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern army; firmly protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam"; the congress has the task of summarizing and evaluating the strengths and weaknesses, causes, and lessons learned in the leadership, direction, and organization of women's work and the women's movement in the military during the 2021-2025 period; and at the same time, determining the direction, objectives, tasks, and solutions for women's work in the military during the 2025-2030 period, meeting the requirements of building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern army.

Colonel Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Head of the Women's Affairs Committee of the Army and Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Congress Organizing Committee, answered questions from the press at the meeting.

At the congress, delegates also contributed opinions to the congress documents and the documents of the 14th National Congress of Women's Representatives; and elected delegates to the 14th National Congress of Women's Representatives for the 2026-2031 term.

The congress was attended by 398 delegates, including exemplary female officers and members representing all female officers and members in the entire army, and 236 invited guests from within and outside the military.

The congress will include many activities: Delegates will offer incense and flowers at the Monument to the Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Road; report on their achievements and visit the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh; delegates will meet with the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam , the Secretary of the Central Military Commission, etc.

According to Colonel Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, as of December 5th, 100% of agencies and units throughout the army had completed their congresses and conferences in accordance with procedures and principles, ensuring quality; demonstrating many innovations and creativity from the preparation of documents and personnel to the management and discussion; reflecting a spirit of democracy, solidarity, and the promotion of collective intelligence, creating a vibrant atmosphere of emulation, and truly being a widespread political activity for women in the military. The women's congresses at all levels contributed many heartfelt, intelligent, and responsible opinions to the draft Political Report of the General Political Department and the documents of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union submitted to the 14th National Congress of Women's Representatives and the revised and supplemented Charter of the Union.

The 8th Congress of Women Representatives of the Army is scheduled to take place on December 19th and 20th in Hanoi . The Congress has identified two breakthroughs: Firstly, to accelerate digital transformation in women's affairs and the women's movement, and to support women in enhancing their digital capabilities. Secondly, to promote gender equality. To improve the quantity and quality of female cadres; to strive to increase the percentage of women participating in leadership and management in appropriate fields.
