Outstanding economic milestones
In the past term, although there were still some difficulties, in terms of economy, Khanh Hoa has made remarkable progress and development. From million-dollar export ships, modern processing plants, giant wind turbines, the vibrant industrial picture has been affirming Khanh Hoa's position as a dynamic marine economic center, aiming to become a new growth pole of the country.
Under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, the economy continues to grow strongly, reaching 8.3%/year and is among the high growth groups of the country. The scale of the economy has been gradually increased, estimated to reach more than 209,000 billion VND by 2025. In particular, the economic structure has clearly shifted, with the proportion of industry - construction and services accounting for 78.87%, reducing the proportion of agriculture - forestry - fishery to 13.78%.

Khanh Hoa Industry has made positive changes, especially in the processing and manufacturing sector. Key products such as seafood, shipbuilding, bird's nest, textiles, tobacco, etc. have increasingly improved quality and competitive advantage in the market, gradually participating in the global value chain. Large-scale industrial projects have been accelerated, contributing significantly to the province's economic growth. Infrastructure in Van Phong Economic Zone and industrial parks and clusters has been invested in, attracting secondary investors to increase occupancy rates.
One of the most prominent milestones is the development of the energy sector. Khanh Hoa has affirmed its pioneering position in the field of renewable energy, especially solar and wind power. To date, the province has invested in and operated 72 power projects (solar power, wind power, hydropower, thermal power) with a total capacity of 5,503.5 MW. The annual electricity output is estimated at 17.950 billion kWh, not only meeting local needs but also making an important contribution to the national power system, affirming its role as the energy center of the country.
Breakthrough vision
According to Resolution No. 09 of the Politburo on building and developing Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045, by 2030, Khanh Hoa will become a centrally-run city, a growth pole, a center of marine economy and high-tech industry of the region and the whole country. To realize this aspiration, the Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution No. 01 on double-digit economic growth in the period of 2025 - 2030, identifying industry and energy as 2 of the 4 pillars, playing a leading role in the entire economy. The specific goal in the 2025 - 2030 term is to maintain an average industrial growth rate of 15 to 20% per year, build Khanh Hoa into a national power energy center, creating a solid foundation for the province to become a high growth pole of the whole country.

Comrade Ho Xuan Ninh - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said: "To achieve this challenging goal, the province will focus on reviewing, adjusting and improving the quality of the province's planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 to be consistent with the post-merger development strategy; developing key industrial parks and industrial clusters in a multi-industry direction, prioritizing modern industry, deeply participating in the global value chain; attracting high-tech industries (information technology, digital technology, artificial intelligence, biotechnology), processing, manufacturing and supporting industries; promoting the advantages of Van Phong Economic Zone to form large-scale industrial - energy complexes associated with deep-water seaports; building Khanh Hoa into a national clean energy and renewable energy center with the goal of putting 14,000 MW into operation by 2030; focusing on developing coastal and offshore wind power, solar power, and wind power. LNG gas, green hydrogen energy, and speed up the progress of the Ninh Thuan 1 and 2 Nuclear Power Plant Project. In order to improve the investment environment and human resources, the province will resolutely reform the administrative system, improve the investment and business environment to attract high-quality capital flows. At the same time, focus on developing high-quality human resources, establishing specialized training programs in the fields of electricity, renewable energy, mechanics, automation, information technology...".
The achievements in the past term are a vivid proof of the efforts and determination of the Party Committee, government and people of Khanh Hoa. With a strategic vision, breakthrough thinking and synchronous solutions, Khanh Hoa believes that it will successfully achieve the set goals, so that Khanh Hoa will not only be an international sea tourism center but also a high and sustainable growth pole of the whole country in the coming term.
