British Parliament dissolved ahead of general election
On the night of May 29, the British Parliament was dissolved, paving the way for a general election on July 4. According to the election plan, the five-week campaign period officially began at 11:01 p.m. on May 29 (GMT, or 6:01 a.m. on May 30, Vietnam time).
