Jihyo (TWICE) was an SM trainee at the age of 8.

Recently, TWICE's female idol Jihyo appeared on Hyoyeon's (Girls' Generation - SNSD) talk show.

While chatting, Jihyo said that she had met senior Hyoyeon when she was young, which surprised Hyoyeon.

Jihyo explained that before joining JYP Entertainment (in 2005), she was actually a trainee at SM Entertainment for 1 year. Therefore, Jihyo had the opportunity to meet the members of the group SNSD. This is the first time she revealed this secret.

Jihyo shared some adorable anecdotes about how the SNSD members treated her. The seniors praised Jihyo for being cute, or compared her head size to a CD because she was so small back then.

But until now, Jihyo cannot remember exactly who said that, because when she was a trainee at SM, she was only 7-8 years old.

When Hyoyeon asked why Jihyo left, the singer revealed that the person who recruited her at SM moved to work at JYP so she followed.

Hyoyeon joked that if Jihyo had stayed in SM, she might have been a part of SNSD. Although Jihyo is still young compared to the other SNSD members, her trainee experience could have gotten her into the group.

At the age of 7, Jihyo won second place in Naver's talent audition "Junior Naver Child Acting Star" and was noticed by a Kpop company.

Jihyo joined JYP in July 2005 and was a trainee at the company for 10 years. In October 2015, Jihyo officially debuted as the leader of the 3rd generation Kpop girl group TWICE.

Together with 8 other members, TWICE has gradually affirmed its position with a series of hit songs, becoming one of the most successful girl groups in Kpop.
