The tournament organizers said that the teams have prepared carefully, especially the large localities with athletes who are national players. They have prepared well during the competition in major domestic and international tournaments during the year.
Through the tournament, the Department of Sports and Physical Training will evaluate the handball development level of localities nationwide and select athletes for the national team to participate in international tournaments in 2024. At the same time, this is also an opportunity to promote the handball movement to further develop in localities.
Handball has been included in training and competition by some universities and has had competitions. In addition, some international schools have also included Handball in physical activities for students. However, there are not many units investing in specialized training for high-performance Handball in Vietnam. Currently, in the national competition system, there are tournaments for indoor handball, beach handball and national youth and club handball tournaments.
