This trend reflects Vietnam's growing appeal on the holiday travel map, especially in the multi-generational family segment. This group prioritizes safe destinations, convenient accommodations, and experiences suitable for children.
The list of source markets for Vietnam during the peak year-end season continues to show South Korea leading in search volume, followed by India, Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia. Notably, demand from the Indian market surged dramatically with a 186% increase compared to the same period last year, becoming the country with the highest growth rate. Malaysia also recorded a 74% increase, demonstrating the widespread appeal of Vietnamese tourism in Southeast Asia.

According to Agoda, international families choose Vietnam because of its rich culture and cuisine , diverse natural landscapes, and increasingly well-invested, child-friendly resort and entertainment complex system.
In the ranking of most searched destinations in Vietnam by international families, Phu Quoc holds the top spot with a 47% increase in searches compared to the same period last year. The southern island continues to impress with its white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, numerous high-end beachfront resorts, and a diverse ecosystem of nature parks and recreational areas catering to all ages.

Following Phu Quoc is Da Nang with a 42% increase, notable for its beautiful beaches, relaxing tours, and the Ba Na Hills entertainment complex, making it a familiar destination for international families.
Nha Trang ranks third thanks to its long coastline, numerous family-friendly resorts, and attractive island experiences. In fourth place, Ho Chi Minh City is favored for its culinary paradise, modern shopping and entertainment center, and the advantage of connecting to day trips to the Mekong Delta.

Conversely, while most Vietnamese families still prioritize domestic travel at the end of the year and usually reserve overseas travel plans for the Lunar New Year holiday, China has emerged as a significantly popular international destination. Among the top 20 most searched overseas destinations by Vietnamese families for the period from December to January, interest in Shanghai increased by 58% and Beijing by 59%. This trend is driven by the introduction of new direct flights from Hanoi to many Chinese cities, shortening travel time and increasing convenience for holiday trips.
