The number of tourists visiting Quang Binh during the Lunar New Year of the Dragon 2024 increased significantly.

From February 8th to 14th (corresponding to the 29th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Rabbit to the 5th day of the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon), the total number of tourists visiting Quang Binh province is estimated at approximately 115,000, an increase of 4.5% compared to the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Rabbit, including about 3,000 international tourists. Tourist attractions, accommodation establishments, tourism service providers, and adventure tourism products organized tours to serve both domestic and international tourists during the Tet holiday.

Tourist destinations mainly include the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap, Phong Nha Cave, Thien Duong Cave, Hoang Phuc Pagoda, Lieu Hanh Temple, Than Dinh Mountain, Ho Chi Minh Square, fireworks display locations in Dong Hoi city, Tan Hoa tourist village, etc. Tourists from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and neighboring provinces travel in families or small groups, using private vehicles or trains and airplanes.

According to statistics, the average room occupancy rate in Quang Binh province is approximately 35%. Many accommodation establishments have organized activities to serve tourists such as year-end parties, New Year's Eve celebrations, and giving lucky money to international guests at the beginning of the year.

Visiting Quang Binh during this time, Shiva Lobe, a tourist from the United Kingdom, said he was very impressed with the friendliness and uniqueness of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year: “I am very happy to visit Vietnam and Quang Binh during your country's Lunar New Year. The scenery is amazing, and the people here are extremely friendly and cheerful. Based on recommendations from my friends, I decided to travel by train so I could admire the scenery of Vietnam.”
