Singapore welcomed 4.43 million international visitors in the first quarter, a 2.8% increase year-on-year, according to data released by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB). Mainland China continued to be the largest source market with 913,370 visitors, followed by Indonesia (625,850), Malaysia (338,790), Australia (311,680), and India (246,940).
Meanwhile, booking data from travel platform Traveloka shows that Vietnam is among the top 3 international tourist markets to Singapore in the first quarter. According to the platform, this result reflects the continued strong growth trend of intra-regional tourism and confirms that Vietnam is one of the island nation's important source markets.
Singapore continues to be among the most popular overseas destinations for Vietnamese tourists this year, alongside Japan, South Korea, and Thailand. Conversely, Vietnam has also emerged as a leading destination in the region for Singaporean tourists in recent years.
According to Traveloka, the island nation attracts Vietnamese tourists thanks to its convenient air connections, visa-free policy for up to 30 days, modern urban environment, and a growing Vietnamese community. This destination caters to various needs such as relaxation, shopping, business trips, and short vacations.

International tourists exploring Singapore in 2025. |
Data from the platform shows that the popular Universal Studios Singapore theme park and the Singapore Oceanarium at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) are the two most searched-for attractions in Singapore.
Searches for RWS attractions doubled in February compared to the same period last year. There's a growing trend toward integrated resort models, where travelers can combine accommodation, dining , shopping, and entertainment in a single trip, especially during the peak summer season.
On this occasion, Traveloka signed a Memorandum of Understanding with RWS to enhance regional tourism connectivity by improving the experience of exploring, planning, and accessing premium accommodations, iconic cuisine, and world-class attractions and events.
The platform hopes that global destinations like RWS can instantly reach high-demand customer groups, leveraging personalized recommendations and integrated booking systems to increase both brand reach and revenue.
"We continue to enhance how travelers discover and access curated travel experiences across the region, thereby creating tangible value for the entire travel ecosystem," said Baidi Li, Vice President of Commerce at Traveloka.
