The first class had 40 students, including officers and employees of Deo Ca Group and its partners.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ho Minh Hoang, Chairman of Deo Ca Group, cited the content of Conclusion No. 49-KL/TU dated February 28, 2023, on the orientation for the development of railway transport until 2030, with a vision to 2045, of the Politburo , affirming that the North-South high-speed railway is the "backbone" of the system. Accordingly, the goal is to strive to complete the approval of the investment policy for the project by 2025; and to start construction on priority sections in the 2026-2030 period (Hanoi - Vinh; Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang). We are striving to complete the entire North-South high-speed railway line before 2045. Today's event marks the beginning of a series of training programs to develop human resources for the transportation sector in the coming time, initiated by Deo Ca Group, with the desire to contribute to the development of human resource training for the transportation sector in particular and the country in general in the future.
Mr. Ho Minh Hoang, Chairman of Deo Ca Group, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.
On this occasion, the head of Deo Ca Group proposed that the Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport report to the relevant ministry to reorganize training programs to better suit the practical needs of engineering and transportation graduates. This includes redistributing course modules and reducing the number of impractical subjects. Simultaneously, they suggested sending staff, lecturers, and final-year students to participate directly in construction sites and projects invested in and implemented by Deo Ca Group, ensuring that learning is combined with practical application. This should be considered a "practical semester," through which the program needs to be revised to provide certification for trainees upon completion of the practical training period. Deo Ca Group will organize recruitment programs and participate in mentoring and training for final-year students to create future practical engineers capable of handling real-world tasks on construction sites and projects.
Deo Ca Group will cover accommodation and transportation costs, etc. In addition, students who successfully complete assigned tasks during their internship will receive a salary and bonuses from the group. Furthermore, during this "practical training period," students will also gain knowledge about workplace safety, practical problem-solving skills, and corporate culture training, enabling them to integrate more quickly into the company's work environment upon graduation.
Also addressing the training program, Mr. Tran Chung, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Road Transport Infrastructure Investors (VARSI), suggested: "We are training human resources for very new and technologically complex projects (high-speed rail - metro), so we urgently need the participation of advanced training institutions from around the world in teaching."
