On the morning of December 3, the 2025 Muay Coach Training and Professional Development Course opened at the Xuan Hoa Ward Cultural and Sports Service Center (HCMC). The program was organized by the HCM City Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the HCM City Muay Federation, taking place from December 3 to 7.
The training course attracted more than 40 students who are coaches, instructors, and athletes working at gyms and clubs in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces. The class was implemented in a combined form of in-person and online, creating favorable conditions for students to fully participate.

At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee congratulated and highly appreciated the learning spirit of the students, affirming that the training course is of great significance in standardizing the Muay coaching team in the direction of professionalism, modernity and international integration. In addition, the program helps update scientific knowledge of training, international standard techniques and sports pedagogy, contributing to building a sustainable Muay training system, serving both the movement and high-performance sports in Ho Chi Minh City.
"The Organizing Committee hopes that each student will attend the training course seriously, fully, proactively learn; openly exchange and share practical experiences with lecturers and colleagues. Make good use of the acquired knowledge to improve training effectiveness at clubs, centers, and teams after completing the course" - Mr. Giap Trung Thang, Vice President and General Secretary of the HCMC Muay Federation expressed.
Mr. Giap Trung Thang gave the opening speech of the class.
During the 5-day course, students will be equipped with key topics such as the history of Muay Thai development, the system of attack - defense - counterattack techniques, competition tactics, building training curriculum, developing physical strength - competition psychology and practicing teaching skills.
At the end of the course, qualified students will be granted a certificate of completion of the coach training program by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports and the Ho Chi Minh City Muay Federation.
