To realize that goal, Mr. Nguyen Nhat Linh affirmed that foreign languages, especially English, are the "golden key" and important capacity. Citing the fact that about 80% of scientific documents and 95% of international conferences and scholarships require English, he suggested that union members and young people change their thinking: not only consider English as a foreign language but also use it as a second language for thinking and working. He suggested that union members and young people constantly improve their knowledge, effectively exploit the advantages of English to access human knowledge, thereby developing themselves and making practical contributions to the development of the country.

At the seminar, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Dinh Quy, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed with the youth about the world and regional situation in 2025 and Vietnam's foreign relations. According to Mr. Dang Dinh Quy, the global geopolitical situation tends to shift towards multipolarity and multi-center, in the context of major powers continuing to adjust their strategies. Some hot spots of conflict are still complicated, but certain signals related to dialogue and diplomatic efforts have appeared. International cooperation is maintained in areas of common interest such as digital transformation, green transformation and climate change response, creating both opportunities and challenges for developing countries.
Mr. Dang Dinh Quy affirmed that young people play an important role in the country's development process. According to him, the first task of every young person is to "establish oneself and build a career", proactively study and practice to improve oneself. On that basis, young people need to promote the pioneering spirit in new fields such as digital transformation, green transformation, and dare to think, dare to do and dare to take responsibility. The learning process of young people should not be limited to the classroom but must also be expanded through self-study, participation in clubs, activity groups and exchange forums. When clearly defining goals, young people can effectively absorb learning channels outside of school, turning the learning process into a lifelong learning journey.
| Talking to union members and young people, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Dinh Quy emphasized three core skill groups that help young people confidently integrate internationally. The first is foreign language ability, especially English. He pointed out that some young people often learn grammar but do not pay attention to pronunciation. With the strong development of technology, young people can practice every day to form direct thinking in English. The second is digital skills, including the ability to proficiently use AI tools in study and work. Young people need to know how to exploit digital platforms to search for information and analyze data. He emphasized that AI is an important tool in the modern working environment, and those who are slow to adapt will be left out of the development flow and risk falling behind. Third is basic knowledge and social understanding. In addition to mastering specialized knowledge, young people need to equip themselves with general knowledge about life, culture, history and human psychology. Soft skills such as communication, connection, teamwork and EQ development will help them orient their goals and practice their skills during adulthood. |
