The special feature of this year is that the cold air is strong, penetrating deep to the South, not only affecting the North but also covering the North Central region (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh), causing rain in the provinces from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai. It is forecasted that from mid-December onwards, the North and North Central regions will have severe cold spells, with frost and frost appearing in mountainous areas.

According to Mr. Lam, another special feature of this winter is that the North and the North Central region will have many cold, dry days, cold at night and sunny during the day. Cold, dry weather will be the common weather pattern from December 2025 to the end of January 2026.
