The program is organized by the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam in collaboration with the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, Ministry of Industry and Trade, with the theme "Pioneering Innovation, Creating the Future". This is a platform for strategic dialogue between the government, the business community and international organizations. The main objective of the forum is to realize climate commitments into practical economic actions.

The urgency of the green transition has become clearer than ever before with the devastating impacts of climate change. Vietnam’s economy suffered more than $1.3 billion in losses due to natural disasters and extreme weather in the first ten months of 2025 alone. Supply chains were disrupted and infrastructure in many urban areas was severely affected.

Speaking at the Forum, Mr. Bruno Jaspaert, Chairman of EuroCham Vietnam, emphasized that green transformation is no longer an option but a condition for growth. He said that European investment in Vietnam is an investment stream with a clear purpose.

Chairman Bruno Jaspaert affirmed that the green journey does not distinguish between business sizes and every unit can create value if it starts from root innovation.

The green transition is expected to become a strong growth driver for Vietnam in the coming decades. The EU is supporting this trend through the European Green Deal and the Global Gateways Initiative. Vietnam is well-positioned to participate deeply in this new global value chain.

The Vietnamese government has taken bold steps such as committing to Net Zero Emissions by 2050 and issuing the Power Development Plan VIII. The economy has maintained rapid growth and attracted more than US$31.5 billion in FDI in the first 10 months of this year.

Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Trade Promotion Agency, Ministry of Industry and Trade, highly appreciated the 35-year diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and Europe. He said that the Vietnam - EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) has become an important lever to help expand export markets. Mr. Vu Ba Phu emphasized that these cooperation frameworks create momentum for reform and improve competitiveness. Many domestic manufacturing industries are gradually perfecting new labor and environmental standards. Production processes are adjusted to meet strict requirements on green traceability from the EU market.

According to Mr. Julien Guerrier, Ambassador of the Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam, participating businesses are pioneers in restructuring the economy. Mr. Julien Guerrier affirmed that the European Union and EU businesses always accompany Vietnam to build a green and prosperous future.

He also highlighted the EU's commitment to a competitive and carbon-neutral digital economy by 2050. The event is an important opportunity for partners to further explore the legal framework for achieving green economic goals.
