Promoting people-to-people exchange and enhancing understanding between the young generations of Vietnam and Palestine

On November 25 in Hanoi, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Phan Anh Son received Minister of Foreign Affairs and Palestinian Overseas Citizens Varsen Aghabekian Shahin on the occasion of his official visit to Vietnam from November 25-27.

At the reception, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Palestinian National Authority Varsen Aghabekian Shahin expressed solidarity with the Vietnamese people and sent his deepest condolences to the families of the victims affected by the floods. She believed that with the spirit of resilience and solidarity, the Vietnamese people will soon overcome difficulties and restore their lives.

Minister Varsen Aghabekian Shahin emphasized the importance of people-to-people exchanges between the two countries and highly appreciated the activities of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and its member organizations in supporting the Palestinian people. She said that the initiatives and solidarity activities of the Vietnamese people are not only recognized domestically but also spread to Palestine, helping the people there feel more clearly the solidarity from the Vietnamese people.

Chairman Phan Anh Son affirmed that the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations always maintains close cooperation with the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Vietnam through dialogues, exchanges and joint activities across the country. He emphasized that the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations is ready to strengthen coordination with the Embassy and agencies of Palestine to promote connections, delegation exchanges and expand cooperation between people's organizations of the two countries.

The two sides agreed that in the coming time, exchange and mutual understanding activities should involve representatives of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the Vietnam Committee for Solidarity with the Palestinian People, and teachers and students at foreign language training institutions, especially Arabic. These activities are a practical way to enhance understanding, encourage the participation of young people and promote the Vietnam-Palestine friendship.
