In his opening speech, Mr. Phan Anh Son, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, said that there is still a lot of room for cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation, especially in the fields of economy , education, culture, arts and high-tech industry. The visit of the Governor of Kaluga Province to Vietnam this time has a very important meaning in promoting cooperation between Vietnam and Kaluga in general and between Kaluga and some localities of Vietnam in particular.
Kaluga Governor Vladislav Valerievich Shapsha expressed his honor and joy at being welcomed by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations during his visit and working visit to Vietnam. At the meeting, Governor Vladislav Valerievich Shapsha gave an overview of Kaluga province - a land with many points of cooperation with Vietnam. Kaluga is located in the Central region of the Russian Federation, about 190km from Moscow. With an area of 29,800km² and a population of more than 1 million people, the province has a developed economy, diverse geographical landscape with mostly plains, forests and fields. Kaluga currently has three large industrial zones, many international-scale factories and is home to a nuclear energy center for peace and a system of scientific research institutes, in which many scientists work in the fields of electronics and medicine.
Kaluga is one of the regions that consistently ranks high in terms of investment attractiveness. The local government has been creating favorable conditions for business development with investment policies that are considered to meet the highest international standards.

Here, the Governor shared his joy when Ms. Thai Huong - Chairwoman of the TH Group's Strategic Council was recently awarded the Friendship Medal by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin, recognizing her contributions to the relationship between the two countries. He also emphasized that the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Russia is built on a strong and long-term foundation.
