Floods in Khanh Hoa have inundated tens of thousands of houses, swept away livestock, and damaged property. A large number of household electronic appliances such as refrigerators, TVs, washing machines, etc. were damaged by floodwaters.

At the mechanical engineering workshop of Nha Trang University, more than 1,000 devices were received and repaired free of charge. The repair team included lecturers, students of the university, members of the Nha Trang Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Association and volunteers from Ho Chi Minh City. The teams were in charge of receiving, checking, cleaning, disassembling, replacing components and testing.
Dr. Le Nhu Chinh, Head of the Department of Refrigeration Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, said that repaired equipment will be handled immediately. For equipment with burned circuit boards or no replacement parts, the team will make notes for people to contact the manufacturer for warranty support or replacement. To date, about 1,000 devices have been repaired. This activity also helps students gain more practical experience.

Mr. Dinh Vu Nhan (residing in Tay Nha Trang ward) expressed his gratitude for the kindness of the free repairmen. Many families saved up for a long time to buy refrigerators and motorbikes, but after a big flood, they were damaged. Everywhere you go, you see damaged electrical equipment. Luckily, there are dedicated, free repair support teams, giving people more motivation to rebuild their lives.
On November 27 and 28, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Department of Construction, the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Youth Union and the Khanh Hoa Motorcycle Technical Association to organize a program to repair vehicles and change oil for free for people.
The activities took place simultaneously at 3 locations: Dien Khanh Children's House (Tran Quy Cap Street, Dien Khanh Commune); Cho Moi Parish Church (296 Luong Dinh Cua, Tay Nha Trang Ward); Headquarters of People's Council - People's Committee of Nam Nha Trang Ward (Thuy Tu Residential Group).
Motorbikes will be cleaned, flushed, have their oil changed, spark plugs replaced, and the air filter cleaned; electrical, brake, chain, lights, and battery checked; and advice on identifying damage after flooding will be provided. For severely damaged vehicles, the support team will connect people to reputable repair facilities.
