Connect VNeID with fishing vessel management system

Implementing the peak month of combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing and sustainable development of the fisheries sector, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Ministry of National Defense shared data and completed the digitalization of fishing vessel management.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment requested the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order to preside over and coordinate the connection of the VNeID application with the fishing vessel management system of the Border Guard.

As of November 2025, 21 coastal provinces and cities had registered and updated 79,360 fishing vessels to the National Fisheries Database, reaching 100%. Vessels that were not qualified to operate were controlled by localities and handed over to competent authorities for management at the anchorage area.
