The event was attended and delivered speeches by Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba Le Quang Long, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba Oscar Pérez-Oliva, and representatives of many ministries, branches, organizations and businesses of the two countries.
The event took place on the eve of the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries (December 2, 2025), demonstrating Vietnam's determination to expand economic, trade and investment cooperation with Cuba in the new period.

In his opening speech, Ambassador Le Quang Long affirmed that “Vietnam Day” is not only a national promotional activity in a large trade fair, but also a special occasion to honor the brotherly, loyal and exemplary solidarity between the two nations that has been built over the past six decades.
The Ambassador recalled the symbolic sayings of President Fidel Castro and President Ho Chi Minh , considering them historical milestones that fostered close ties and created a sustainable foundation for Vietnam-Cuba relations for many decades.
The Ambassador emphasized that this relationship does not stop at politics but also strongly extends to economic cooperation, as Vietnam is currently Cuba's second largest trade partner in Asia and the largest investor from the Asia-Pacific region in the Caribbean island nation.
He affirmed that cooperation is increasingly expanding in essential areas such as agriculture and food security, biotechnology and medicine, renewable energy, trade and investment.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Oscar Pérez-Oliva highly appreciated Vietnam's active presence at FIHAV 2025, considering this a clear demonstration of the two countries' commitment to long-term cooperation.
Cuban leaders expressed their hope that Vietnam will continue to play an important role in trade and investment promotion activities in Cuba, and affirmed that the Cuban Government will create favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to expand their markets and participate more deeply in priority projects in the process of updating Cuba's economic model.
Vietnam’s pavilion at this year’s fair attracted the attention of a large number of visitors and international partners. Vietnamese enterprises brought many typical products and services in the fields of agriculture, food, consumption, energy and supporting industries, thereby demonstrating the increasing competitiveness of Vietnamese goods in the Cuban market as well as the Caribbean region.
The diverse participation of Vietnamese enterprises not only meets the needs of the local market but also demonstrates the determination to exploit bilateral economic cooperation opportunities in the context of the two countries promoting business connections and seeking new cooperation models.
Promoting the role of economic diplomacy, within the framework of FIHAV 41, the Vietnamese Embassy in Cuba has proactively coordinated with local ministries and branches to organize a series of connecting activities for 15 Vietnamese enterprises operating in the fields of fertilizers, agricultural processing, plant protection, consumer goods, solar energy... with Cuban enterprises to learn about the market, as well as discuss the possibility of cooperation in areas that Cuba has high demand for.
The Embassy also supported businesses to meet with representatives of Cuban ministries and sectors to learn about Cuba's investment policies and environment, orient trade and production investment, and prepare for long-term cooperation projects in this Caribbean market.

Taking place from November 24-29 at Expocuba, FIHAV 2025 continues to affirm its position as the most important trade promotion event of Cuba and the Caribbean region.
The fair attracted a large number of businesses and international delegations, with many new themed exhibition areas related to export product development, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, tourism and innovation. During the fair, many forums, investment conferences and trade events were held, creating an open space for global businesses to connect.
The “Vietnam Day” event at FIHAV 2025, along with the active presence of Vietnamese businesses and networking activities organized by the Embassy, continued to affirm the deep and effective bond of the Vietnam-Cuba cooperative relationship.
This is a testament to the constant efforts of both countries in renewing cooperation opportunities, inheriting the tradition of special friendship and moving towards an increasingly practical and sustainable future of economic and trade cooperation.
