Approving the election results and dismissing the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province

(Chinhphu.vn) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed the Decisions approving the election results and dismissal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province for the 2021-2026 term.

Specifically, in Decision No. 2588/QD-TTg dated November 24, 2025, the Prime Minister approved the election results for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Vo Trong Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Mr. Vo Trong Hai was born on February 20, 1968, hometown Hoa Lac commune, former Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province; qualifications: Bachelor of Law, major in Command Officer - Border Guard University; Senior in political theory.

Before being transferred to Nghe An, Mr. Vo Trong Hai had held many important positions such as: Head of the Cau Treo International Border Guard Station, Ha Tinh Provincial Border Guard; Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Ha Tinh Provincial Internal Affairs Committee; Director of Ha Tinh Provincial Police; Director of Nghe An Provincial Police. From April 2021 to February 2025, Mr. Vo Trong Hai was Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee. From February 2025 to September 2025, Mr. Vo Trong Hai was Deputy Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

On November 18, the People's Council of Nghe An province elected Mr. Vo Trong Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province for the 2021-2026 term.

* At the same time, in Decision 2587/QD-TTg dated November 24, 2025, the Prime Minister also approved the results of the dismissal of Mr. Le Hong Vinh from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province for the 2021-2026 term.

Previously, on November 14, 2025, the Central Party Secretariat decided that Mr. Le Hong Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, would cease to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and cease to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; transfer and appoint him to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

On November 17, 2025, the People's Council of Quang Tri province elected Mr. Le Hong Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province for the 2021-2026 term.
