
The Youth Union of Hue Central Hospital coordinated with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association to examine, provide health consultation and distribute free medicine to people after the flood in Hue.
This is an activity with profound humanitarian meaning, aiming to support people in primary health care, stabilizing their physical and mental lives after natural disasters.
Speaking at the program, Prof. Dr. Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health, acknowledged the efforts of the young medical team and emphasized that mobile medical examination and treatment activities after natural disasters have special significance, contributing to protecting people's health and supporting their spirits.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Xuan, Deputy Director of Hue Central Hospital, said: "We want to bring to the people not only prescriptions for treatment, but also 'spiritual medicine' - that is, listening, sharing and companionship from the team of young doctors. Hopefully, today's program will help people be more steadfast after natural disasters and soon stabilize their lives."
With the participation of 36 medical staff, the program examined, consulted and provided free medicine to 1,000 people, implemented many specialized services such as general internal medicine, surgery, ear, nose and throat, maxillofacial, dermatology, eye examination; abdominal ultrasound, blood pressure measurement, electrocardiogram. At the same time, people were instructed on post-flood health care, prevention of respiratory, digestive, dermatological diseases and environmental sanitation practices, care for the elderly and pregnant women.

The program also presented "Humanitarian Houses" to families in especially difficult circumstances in Hung Loc commune.
Within the framework of the program, the delegation presented medical supplies and necessities to the local Medical Center; visited, encouraged and sent many gifts to grassroots medical staff and people severely affected by floods.

Supporting the construction of Humanitarian Houses not only helps people have a stable place to live, contributing to rebuilding their lives after natural disasters, but also deeply demonstrates the humanitarian spirit, sharing and social responsibility of the young medical team in their journey with the community.
Over the years, young doctors of Hue Central Hospital have always actively participated in volunteer activities, epidemic prevention, blood donation, disaster response support, scientific research and technical innovation, thereby contributing to building the image of young doctors with intelligence, responsibility and humanity.
