The Ministry of Construction has just announced a natural disaster emergency to repair damage to traffic infrastructure on National Highway 1 and Truong Son Dong Road.
According to the announcement, the natural disaster occurred in the section passing through Da Nang city, Quang Ngai province, Gia Lai province, Dak Lak province and Khanh Hoa province under the management of Road Management Area III due to the impact of heavy rain and floods from November 17 to November 22.
Emergency situations of natural disasters to repair damage to traffic infrastructure at the following locations:
Km 112+720; Km 175C+950; section Km 404+800 - Km 405+000; Km 449+000; Km 462+250 on Truong Son Dong road.
Km 1339+300 (P); Km 1360+860 (P); Km 1371+1000 (P) on National Highway 1, passing through Da Nang city, Quang Ngai province, Gia Lai province, Dak Lak province and Khanh Hoa province.
Natural disaster situations pose a direct threat to the safety of people and vehicles participating in road traffic.
Vietnam Road Administration, Road Management Area III, according to the scope and responsibility of management, implements activities to overcome the consequences of natural disasters. In particular, review and determine the specific level of damage to road works caused by natural disasters, repair and remedial solutions and issue an Order to build emergency works to overcome the consequences of natural disasters according to the provisions of law.
Upon completion of emergency construction and disaster recovery work according to the above-mentioned natural disaster emergency situation, the Vietnam Road Administration shall report to the Ministry of Construction as a basis for considering the announcement of the end of the natural disaster emergency situation.
The Ministry of Construction assigns the Director of the Vietnam Road Administration and the Director of Road Management Area III to be responsible before the Minister and before the law for the contents of reports on damage and deterioration of traffic infrastructure.
The Department of Transport and Traffic Safety (Ministry of Construction) is responsible for urging and directing agencies and units in implementing measures to overcome the consequences of natural disasters on road traffic infrastructure.
