
At the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen, Deputy Chief of the Ministry's Office, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Ministry of Public Security's Civil Defense Steering Committee, presented 1 billion VND from the Ministry of Public Security to support households in Gia Lai province whose houses collapsed due to storms and floods and gave gifts to encourage the forces that provided rescue and support to people during storm No. 13 and the recent floods.
Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen emphasized: “This is a meaningful gift that the People's Public Security force sends to households affected by storms and floods, promoting the tradition of mutual love and affection, "military-civilian affection, compatriot affection" in difficult circumstances, calamities, natural disasters, storms and floods, thereby contributing to strengthening the people's security posture, strongly promoting the movement of the entire people to protect the security of the Fatherland. The Public Security force will always be the pioneer in accompanying the people to overcome the consequences of storms and floods, with the determination not to let people suffer from hunger and cold, to build houses "as soon as possible, most durable, most solid and most economical", helping people quickly stabilize their lives".

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang acknowledged and commended the efforts of Gia Lai Police force in fighting against storms, overcoming floods to help people, and always accompanying the people to overcome the consequences of storms and floods, leaving a good impression in the community. At the same time, he requested the Police force to continue to proactively provide means and forces to respond, rescue and search and rescue in the coming time.
Representing the households that received the houses, Mr. Le Thanh Ngoc - a resident of Hai Bac quarter, Quy Nhon Dong ward - expressed his deep gratitude to the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Gia Lai Provincial Police and local departments, branches and organizations for not being afraid of difficulties and hardships, ready to provide relief and help people in the flood. The new house will help the family feel secure in working and producing, continue to promote the spirit of national solidarity, and together build a rich and beautiful homeland.

Also on the morning of November 26, at Gia Lai Provincial Police, the working delegation of the Ministry of Public Security's Office led by Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen presented 50 tons of rice and essential necessities to join hands with people to stabilize their lives after the flood.
