Thanh Hoa province promotes trade in Russia

According to a VNA reporter in Moscow, in addition to the three organizing units of Thanh Hoa province, the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Vietnamese Embassy, the event was also attended by many representatives from the Russia-Vietnam Business Association, the Russian Import-Export Association, the Vietnam Business Association in Russia and Russian and Vietnamese businesses in Russia.

In his welcome speech at the event, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi reiterated that the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership is in a period of strong and extensive development with a high level of political trust and effective cooperation in all fields, in which economic cooperation is identified as an important pillar, constantly promoted and developed. In that context, promoting economic cooperation, providing market information and connecting businesses of the two countries are among the top priorities to promote potential economic connections between the two countries.

The Ambassador highly appreciated the vision and determination of Thanh Hoa province in actively taking the lead in promoting trade and investment in Russia. That determination and strong commitment are some of the outstanding advantages along with the strategic location, potential and rich resources for Thanh Hoa to become a new bright spot in the cooperation between Vietnam and Russia. The Ambassador believes that the event is not just an introduction, but the beginning of practical visits, dialogues, direct exchanges and successful contracts in the future.

Introducing to potential managers and investors, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh emphasized a prominent strength of Thanh Hoa province, which is the abundant human resources of 2.4 million workers out of a total population of 4.3 million people. The second strength is the cultural depth with the name Thanh Hoa nearly 1,000 years old, once the capital of 4 dynasties with 44 kings, more than 1,500 heritages and historical relics of the province are valuable resources for tourism development, especially attracting foreign tourists.

In preparation for the Conference, the Province has produced a video introducing the full development situation, potential as well as the areas of investment and cooperation so that delegates can have an overview of this "spiritual land" connecting the North and South of Vietnam. Potential investors also heard direct commitments from Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh, which are sincere cooperation, sustainable investment, convenient procedures and the highest efficiency.

Appreciating the event's large-scale and thorough organization, Vice President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry Roman Dunko shared his in-depth and accurate opinions on the key factors that businesses need to pay attention to. Mr. Dunko emphasized that with extensive experience in cooperation with Asian countries in general and Vietnam in particular, the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry is ready to share knowledge, support businesses in finding cooperation opportunities and contribute to the development of trade between the two countries, contributing to realizing the ambitious goal of increasing bilateral trade turnover to 15 billion USD by 2030.

Speaking to VNA reporters, Mr. Andrian Sinebok, Chairman of the Russia-Vietnam Business Council (RVDS), emphasized that Thanh Hoa's GRDP growth of 10.2% certainly made a strong impression on the attendees. He added that when promoting trade, the most important thing is specificity: a specific goal, a specific plan, a specific desire, a specific policy, in order to be able to make progress right after the Conference.

For his part, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung added that the province is determined to resume investment promotion plans that were interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After more than 5 years, Thanh Hoa is confident in its strength in attracting investment as well as its desire to establish a two-way investment flow, from Thanh Hoa to Russia and especially from Russia to Thanh Hoa.

After Moscow, the delegation will continue to Russia's second largest city, Saint Petersburg, and organize more activities there.
