According to information from Khanh Hoa Border Guard, at the conference, officers of Thanh Hai Border Guard Station disseminated legal regulations related to fishing activities; mandatory requirements for fishing vessels when entering and leaving ports; maintenance and operation of voyage monitoring equipment; as well as sanctions for violations of IUU regulations. At the same time, the authorities instructed fishermen on how to identify maritime boundaries, avoid encroaching on foreign waters; and emphasized the role of fishermen in joining hands to remove the European Commission's "yellow card" on fisheries.

Previously, on November 22, officers and soldiers of Thanh Hai Border Guard Station directly visited each fishing household and each fishing vessel anchored at My Tan Fishing Port to propagate and explain in detail the regulations against IUU fishing. Border guards also coordinated with local authorities to inspect and review the operating status of the vessels. Through inspection, 21 fishing vessels in the area were given "unqualified to operate" signs to ensure strict management and prevent the risk of violations during fishing.
Propaganda and inspection activities contribute to raising awareness of the fishing community, towards sustainable fisheries development and compliance with the law.
