According to the report at the Conference, in 2025, the Party Committee of the 42nd Fleet led and directed the synchronous and comprehensive implementation of all aspects of work, successfully completing the tasks. The unit strictly maintained combat-ready forces and vehicles; proactively grasped the situation in the air and at sea; handled situations well, avoiding being passive and surprised. The Fleet inspected and disseminated regulations on combating IUU fishing to 2,378 vehicles with 16,780 fishermen, resolutely chasing away foreign fishing vessels violating Vietnam's waters.
Patrolling, inspection and law enforcement work was vigorously deployed. In 2025, the unit arrested 3 cases/3 ships illegally transporting 128,643 liters of DO oil, 30 tons of sugar without invoices proving origin; coordinated to arrest 2 cases/2 subjects illegally storing drugs, and handed them over to the police for handling according to regulations.
Squadron 42 also promoted activities to accompany fishermen, coordinated with Ca Mau province to organize 5 programs "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen", 2 contests "I love the sea and islands of my homeland", propagating laws and regulations against IUU to 1,650 people, contributing to raising community awareness, towards sustainable and responsible fishing.

Speaking at the Conference, Colonel Dao Ba Viet, Commander of Coast Guard Region 4, praised the outstanding results achieved by officers and soldiers of Squadron 42 in 2025. He asked the unit to continue to maintain the spirit of solidarity, proactively grasp the situation, effectively implement the Coast Guard work plan for 2026; build a clean and strong Party organization; build a strong and comprehensive unit that is "exemplary and typical", and excellently complete all assigned tasks.
At the conference, the Commander of the Navy awarded collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2025 Emulation Movement.

On this occasion, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command also organized a democratic dialogue conference for the fourth quarter of 2025 between the Head of the Region Command and officers and soldiers of Squadron 42. The conference took place in a democratic and open atmosphere, contributing to strengthening trust and creating motivation for officers and soldiers to continue competing to successfully complete all assigned tasks.
