Honoring 561 outstanding young cadres and 5-good students of Ho Chi Minh City National University

(NLDO) - On the afternoon of December 4, 113 outstanding young cadres and 448 excellent students of Ho Chi Minh City National University were honored.

The 2023 - 2025 period recorded many outstanding marks from the movements "Outstanding Young Teachers", "Three Responsibilities" and "5 Good Students". Academic activities, scientific research, innovation, community volunteering... were continuously deployed, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere of the youth of VNU-HCM from lecture halls, laboratories to student life.

Among young cadres and lecturers, the movements “Outstanding Young Teachers” and “Three Responsibilities” continue to be effective. Many lecturers boldly innovate teaching methods and improve the quality of service to learners.

The K43 Association of Cartography - Remote Sensing - GIS and the K43 Association of Population - Social Geography (University of Social Sciences and Humanities) were recognized as the 5-Good Student Group at the Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City in 2025.

In the past 3 years, VNU-HCM has had 7 young scientists receiving the Golden Globe Award; 3 lecturers receiving the Khue Van Cac Award; 2 outstanding young teachers at the central level; 5 outstanding young citizens of HCMC; 9 outstanding young teachers of HCMC and 5 excellent and friendly young officials, civil servants and public employees.

Individuals achieving the title "5 Good Students" were awarded at the program.

The “5 Good Students” movement continues to play a pivotal role, contributing to building a class of students who are well-rounded in ethics, study, physical strength, volunteering and integration. In the 2024-2025 school year alone, VNU-HCM has 1,868 outstanding young people following Uncle Ho’s teachings from school level and above. This is considered a source of high-quality young human resources, meeting the development needs of Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country.

Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Cao Vinh delivered a congratulatory speech at the Festival of Outstanding Young Cadres and 5-Good Students of VNU-HCM in 2025.

This year's festival took place in a proud atmosphere celebrating 30 years of establishment and development of VNU-HCM. Speaking at the program, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Cao Vinh, Vice President of VNU-HCM, affirmed: "Over the past 30 years, VNU-HCM has continuously grown, becoming the leading center for training, research and innovation in the country. On that journey, students and young staff are the force that creates the future and creates the identity of VNU-HCM."

Individuals who won the title of Outstanding Young Cadre received awards at the program.

The year 2025 also recorded many individuals who maintained their titles for many consecutive years: 16 outstanding young cadres 3 times (2021, 2023, 2025); 7 outstanding young cadres 4 times (2019 - 2025); 10 5-good students 3 consecutive years (2023 - 2025) and 2 5-good students 5 consecutive years (2021 - 2025). These are all typical examples of the spirit of self-study, training and dedication.

The Festival of Outstanding Young Cadres and 5-Good Students of Ho Chi Minh National University in 2025 is also an activity to welcome the 1st Congress of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union - an event of great significance to the city's youth.
