During the training session on the afternoon of December 4 of the U22 Vietnam team, coach Kim Sang-sik gave a training plan with a moderate amount of exercise. The group of players who started in the opening match were given recovery and relaxation exercises, while the remaining group practiced more attacking and finishing coordination exercises.

Midfielder Nguyen Xuan Bac has not yet recovered from the injury he suffered in the victory over U22 Laos, so he will continue to stay at the hotel for treatment and rehabilitation. According to the team doctor, this player can return to training in the next 2-3 days.
Looking ahead to the crucial match against U22 Malaysia in Group B of the men's football event at the 33rd SEA Games, striker Nguyen Quoc Viet affirmed that U22 Vietnam is actively preparing and is confident in aiming to win all 3 points.
Quoc Viet has not been able to score at SEA Games 33, but the aggressiveness of the striker from Hoang Anh Gia Lai has contributed to weakening the defense of U22 Laos, indirectly helping his teammate Dinh Bac score.

In an interview on December 4, Quoc Viet said the whole team is maintaining a positive spirit after the 2-1 victory over U22 Laos, although there is still some regret for not scoring more goals.
"After yesterday's match, the team spirit was quite good. It was a bit regretful that we couldn't score many goals. Coach Kim encouraged us that the first match is always difficult so getting 3 points is good" - Quoc Viet said.
The striker who has participated in the SEA Games twice in a row and is nicknamed “King of the Youth Tournament”, believes that U22 Vietnam still has many things to improve, especially the ability to take advantage of opportunities. Quoc Viet shared: “The team created many opportunities but did not take advantage of them well. In the second match, the whole team will try to score more goals.”
Talking about the situation where Dinh Bac's second goal caused a stir in public opinion, Quoc Viet said that because there was no VAR, the team only reacted based on their feelings and did not think the referee would change his decision.

Quoc Viet was an offside player. Although he did not participate in Dinh Bac's play, he jumped to avoid the ball's direction, blocking the vision of the U22 Laos goalkeeper and making it impossible to prevent the goal.
Commenting on the upcoming confrontation with U22 Malaysia, Quoc Viet expressed his confidence: "I have faced Malaysia many times so I understand this team quite well. U22 Vietnam's goal is definitely 3 points. Coach Kim Sang-sik also told the whole team to try their best and take advantage of opportunities. As a striker, I will try to score against Malaysia."
U22 Vietnam still has 7 days before the match with U22 Malaysia (at 4pm on December 11). During this period, Coach Kim and his assistant team will continue to help U22 Vietnam improve their playing style, especially their finishing ability.
