Opening Ceremony of the Quang Ninh OCOP Fair

On the evening of December 11th, the opening ceremony of the Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Autumn-Winter 2024 took place in Mong Cai City. Attending the ceremony was Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Quang Ninh Provincial OCOP Steering Committee.

Delegates pressed the button to officially open the Quang Ninh OCOP Autumn-Winter Fair 2024.

The Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Autumn-Winter 2024 features the participation of nearly 200 domestic production and business organizations and individuals, showcasing 1,180 distinctive, typical, regional specialty products and OCOP products from 42 provinces and cities. This fair also introduces the socio-economic development plan, potential strengths, and investment attraction advantages of Mong Cai city; introduces typical products from provinces and cities nationwide; and presents, exhibits, and promotes e-commerce activities and digital solutions in production, business, and service provision.

In addition, the fair also features an exhibition area showcasing typical OCOP products of Quang Ninh province; and promotes the Quang Ninh OCOP e-commerce platform with a new interface and modern, upgraded features to further boost promotion and trade in the digital environment. This is a comprehensive solution to support the connection of OCOP products and typical products of Quang Ninh province to consumers throughout the country.

Comrade Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, delivered the opening speech at the fair.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that in recent years, Quang Ninh province has always focused on improving the investment and business environment, paying attention to leadership and guidance in removing difficulties for businesses, especially manufacturing and import-export businesses. Quang Ninh province in general and Mong Cai city in particular are increasingly affirming their position in international economic integration; they are a key area for developing border gate economy and border tourism , a gateway of ASEAN with Northeast Asian countries; promoting trade connections and import-export of goods between Vietnam, ASEAN countries and the Chinese market and vice versa. Through the fair, businesses, production facilities, and cooperatives have the opportunity to connect with markets, boost product consumption, and promote trade. At the same time, the fair is also a reliable shopping destination with a diverse range of quality goods, meeting the needs of people and tourists during the Tet holiday.
