Opening of the 2025 Lotus Village Festival with the special art program 'Monument in millions of hearts'

The 2025 Sen Village Festival is a key political and cultural event, aiming to celebrate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025). This is also an opportunity for the entire Party, people and army to express their gratitude and deep appreciation to President Ho Chi Minh; honoring his ideological, moral and stylistic values - a solid foundation for the revolutionary cause today and tomorrow.

This year, the Lotus Village Festival is organized on a national scale, organized by Nghe An province in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Public Security.

In addition to solemn ceremonies such as: Flower offering ceremony at Uncle Ho's Monument in Vinh City; Incense offering ceremony, flower offering, reporting achievements, commemorating President Ho Chi Minh at Kim Lien Relic Site, cultural, sports and tourism activities were organized enthusiastically with the participation of hundreds of artists and actors from many provinces, cities and units across the country.

The highlight of the 2025 Sen Village Festival is the opening ceremony combined with the inauguration of the “Uncle Ho Visits His Hometown” Monument, taking place on the opening night of the festival, and the Art Program with the theme “Monument in millions of hearts”.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2025 Sen Village Festival, Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, on behalf of the leaders of Nghe An province, warmly welcomed and respectfully sent to Comrade General Secretary To Lam ; leaders, former leaders of the Party and State; leaders of departments, ministries, branches, central agencies, Military Region 4; leaders of localities, delegates and all people best wishes for health and congratulations.

The Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee emphasized: The Provincial and National Lotus Village Festival is a political and cultural event of great significance in people's lives with the emotional and responsible response of provinces and cities across the country and the participation of international friends.

This year's festival is organized on a national scale, with many exciting and meaningful cultural and sports activities; promising to bring a vibrant and colorful artistic space of the Vietnamese ethnic community; expressing the sacred sentiments, deep gratitude, and steadfast belief of compatriots nationwide, overseas Vietnamese and international friends celebrating the birthday of beloved Uncle Ho!

The Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee said: This is also an opportunity for the province to introduce to guests the image of a Nghe An that is making efforts and is dynamic in economic development, preserving and promoting the cultural identity of Nghe An; has been and is determined to fulfill Uncle Ho's wish for his homeland "to make Nghe An quickly become one of the most prosperous provinces in the North"; and continue to strive to carry out well the 5 important tasks that the General Secretary directed in the working session this morning with the provincial leadership, making Nghe An a growth pole of the whole country.

“Hopefully, from the 2025 National Lotus Village Festival, the legacy value of Ho Chi Minh's ideology and morality, the spirit of studying and following Uncle Ho will continue to spread strongly; the good impressions of the homeland and the people of Nghe An, simple, warm and full of affection, will leave a good impression on delegates, people, and tourists from near and far,” said comrade Nguyen Duc Trung.

Next is the art program "Monument in millions of hearts" consisting of 3 chapters, directed by People's Artist Cong Bay - Deputy Director of the Department of Party and Political Affairs, Ministry of Public Security; written by People's Artist An Ninh; and choreographed by People's Artist Huu Tu.

Chapter I: “The call of the country opens” with the performance “Lullaby for the child in the blooming lotus season” - a simple and gentle homeland song that seems to resonate from the depths of the soul of Nghe An, in the blooming lotus season. Those melodies seem to bring the audience back to Sen Village, the origin of President Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary ideals and his journey of dedication to the nation.

Next were the performances “Call of the Country”, “Returning Hometown” and a special scene recreating the emotional reunion between Uncle Ho and his sister Nguyen Thi Thanh after 40 years apart at the Presidential Palace. Each image, each sound evoked sacred memories of a simple yet great beginning, where a great personality shone who lived his whole life for the country and the people.

Chapter II: “Uncle Ho’s words shine forever” is an epic poem of gratitude and praise for the deep bond between Uncle Ho and the people of the South - where “Uncle Ho misses the South, misses home”. Through scenes recreating the meeting between Uncle Ho and revolutionary heroes such as Tran Thi Ly, Ta Thi Kieu, Ho Vai…, the portrait of an outstanding leader appears touchingly, a close, devoted father, always dedicating his whole heart to the South.

The performances "Uncle Ho's words shine forever", "Uncle Ho's words before passing away", "We watch over his sleep" continue to resound like the steadfast oath of today's generations: vowing to continue on the path he chose, keeping the revolutionary flame and sacred ideals he left behind for future generations.

Chapter III: “The Monument in Millions of Hearts” is an epic with sacred and heroic emotions. With the harmonious combination of music, dance and artistic language, performances such as: “You are the belief in victory”, “My house has Uncle Ho’s picture”, especially the theme song “The Monument in Millions of Hearts” and “Proudly go up, oh Vietnam” have created an artistic space spreading emotions, pride and infinite gratitude towards the beloved Father of the nation.

Audience attended and watched performances at the opening night of the 2025 Lotus Village Festival.

Closing the program was the choir "As if Uncle Ho were here on the day of great victory", elaborately staged, combined with a brilliant fireworks display as an eternal symbol of the aspiration for independence, peace and happiness that Uncle Ho always wished for.

Participating in the performance are famous artists such as Trong Tan, Tung Duong, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan... along with prestigious art units: People's Police Music and Dance Theater, Nghe An Provincial Traditional Arts Center, Nghe An Police Mass Art Troupe.

The 2025 Lotus Village Festival will continue until May 19, with a series of cultural, artistic and sporting activities imbued with national identity./.
