With a history of over 120 years, Sa Pa is considered one of Vietnam's typical tourist centers, nổi with its natural landscapes, distinctive climate, and diverse cultural identity of the highland ethnic groups.

In recent years, Sa Pa has made a significant mark on the international tourism map, such as being included in the list of the world's most beautiful small towns and being ranked by travel platforms as one of the fastest-growing destinations in Asia. By 2025, the area is expected to welcome over 5 million visitors, generating tourism revenue exceeding 19.5 trillion VND. In the first quarter of 2026 alone, the number of visitors is projected to reach approximately 2 million, an increase of over 15% compared to the same period.
This year's summer festival includes many activities such as the Fansipan Rose Festival, the "Sa Pa - Heritage in the Mist" week, the brocade festival, and cultural events in the surrounding communes. The organizers expect the series of activities to provide diverse experiences while contributing to the preservation and promotion of local cultural values.

The highlight of the opening night was the artistic program themed "Sa Pa - Land of Love," featuring many famous singers and combining traditional and modern elements.
Lao Cai province has identified tourism as a key economic sector, aiming to welcome approximately 15 million tourists by 2030, contributing over 20% to its GRDP. Sa Pa, in particular, is being developed according to a "green - sustainable - smart" model, striving to become an international-class resort tourism center.

The Organizing Committee expects the Sa Pa Summer Festival 2026 to give a boost to local tourism, while spreading the image of Sa Pa - a friendly destination rich in cultural identity - to domestic and international tourists.
