In his opening speech, the leader of the Political Department of Military Region 9 emphasized: The victory of the August Revolution in 1945 was a brilliant milestone in the history of the nation, bringing our country into a new era - the era of national independence associated with socialism. After 80 years of the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and nearly 40 years of carrying out the renovation process, our country has built a solid foundation, potential, position and international prestige. The historical milestone of the August Revolution has become a great spiritual strength to encourage and motivate our entire Party, people and army to strive and promote revolutionary heroism in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland today.
With that meaning, the thematic exhibition “August Revolution - Historical Milestone” brings visitors a comprehensive picture of the August Revolution in 1945, especially in Military Region 9. The exhibition content includes 3 parts: “Historical Autumn”, “The Power of Belief” and “Following the Glory”.

With more than 300 images, documents, artifacts and more than 200 books, the exhibition shows the spirit of the historic autumn of 1945. Through that, the exhibition is a reminder for today's and future generations about the sacred value of independence and freedom, contributing to educating , encouraging and motivating officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces of Military Region 9 and the people to continue promoting the tradition of patriotism, the spirit of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 in the current context.
