Opening of Cultural Tourism Week Heritage Journey from Sai Temple to Co Loa

This is an important event of the District to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024), celebrate the Party - celebrate the Spring of Giap Thin 2024.

Opening of the cultural tourism week, journey from the airport to the airport with loudspeaker image 1 — Vice Chairwoman of Dong Anh District People's Committee Nguyen Thi Tam delivered the opening speech at the event.

Speaking at the opening of the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam, Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Anh District said: "The heritage journey from Sai Temple to Co Loa is a connection of the typical heritage sites of the District, bringing visitors a new experience of the cultural heritage of Dong Anh from the sacred Sai Temple to the capital of Co Loa. Along the heritage journey, visitors will find unique tangible and intangible heritages of Dong Anh District such as: Thuy Loi Communal House - Sai Temple - Temple of Doctor Le Tuan Mau; To Temple historical relic; Co Loa special national relic cluster; Sai Temple King Procession Festival, Duong Yen Village's Son-in-law Selection Festival, Luong Quy Village's Fire Pulling and Rice Cooking Competition, Dao Thuc Water Puppetry folk performing art and Co Loa Festival - National intangible cultural heritage.

The tangible and intangible cultural heritage values in Dong Anh District have always been preserved, passed down, embellished by generations of people, present in the material and spiritual life of the people, becoming invaluable resources for today and tomorrow. These are the great potentials and advantages for tourism development of the District, especially in the current globalization conditions, Dong Anh tourism is gradually developing strongly, becoming an attractive and friendly destination, contributing significantly to socio -economic development, becoming a key economic sector of the District in the coming time".

Coming to the Tourism Week "Heritage Journey from Sai Temple to Co Loa", people and tourists will visit and learn about the national relic complex of Sai Temple; identify the model of "Model historical - cultural relic" implemented by the District Women's Union in coordination with the Department of Culture and Information. This is a model to be replicated at historical - cultural relics in the communes of Dong Anh district in the coming time.

Also at the Cultural Tourism Week, people and tourists will enjoy the display space, introducing traditional culinary products, typical agricultural products, and typical traditional culture of Thuy Lam land; participate in experiential activities; and immerse themselves in the traditional folk performing art of Dao Thuc Water Puppetry.

Especially on January 11, tourists and people can witness the community of Thuy Loi village, Thuy Lam commune "Practicing the ritual of the Emperor, claiming titles", reenacting the image of King An Duong Vuong and the mandarins of the court returning to Sai Temple to pay homage to Saint Huyen Thien Tran Vu through the festival of welcoming the King to Sai Temple.

"I hope that Sai Temple - Co Loa - Dong Anh will be a "Safe, friendly, unique, attractive and impressive destination" in the hearts of tourists and friends from near and far on their journey to discover cultural heritage in their homeland Dong Anh" - Vice Chairman of Dong Anh District People's Committee Nguyen Thi Tam emphasized.
