Opening Ceremony of Bac Kan Culture and Tourism Week

On the evening of April 25th, at the floating stage on the Cau River and the Cau River pedestrian street (Bac Kan City), the opening ceremony of the Bac Kan Culture and Tourism Week 2025, themed "Cau River - Where the Sources Converge," was held with great fanfare.

Attending the ceremony were: Ms. Phuong Thi Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Dang Binh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders and former leaders of Bac Kan province… The ceremony was also attended by leaders representing the provinces of Cao Bang, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Hanoi , and Hai Duong; and reporters from central and local press agencies.

Bowl dance, a folk dance of the Tay ethnic group, was a unique artistic performance at the opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony began with the artistic performance "By the Cau River, I Sing Then Songs" – a warm greeting rich in cultural identity, marking the start of a journey connecting heritage, culture, and tourism between the beloved lands along the Cau River. The ceremony stage was grandly set up right on the surface of the Cau River with large LED screens and a modern laser lighting system...

The program featured a spectacular performance recreating the nation's victory over foreign invaders, with the powerful verses of "Nam Quoc Son Ha" - Ly Thuong Kiet's Declaration of Independence, driving the Song army out of the country...

The highlight of the Opening Ceremony was the artistic program themed "Cau River - Where the Source Converges," beginning with three chapters: "Where the Source of the Cau River Comes"; "The River of Poetry" and "The Flow Bringing New Life"... The program featured typical artistic performances from each province in the Cau River basin, such as Quan Ho folk singing, Xam singing, Then singing, and Van singing... with the participation of singers: RamC, Minh Hang, Phuc Bo Saigon, Quoc Vuong, Khanh Chi, Ngoc Ha, Xuan Truong, Thu Thuy, Ba Dan, Thanh Nga...

Comrade Dinh Quang Tuyen, Member of the Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Kan province, delivered the opening speech.

In his opening remarks at the Bac Kan Culture and Tourism Week 2025, Mr. Dinh Quang Tuyen, Member of the Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, introduced the unique cultural features of the six provinces and cities in the Cau River basin, including Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Hanoi, and Hai Duong.

The 2025 "Bac Kan Culture and Tourism Week" will be held from April 22nd to the end of the April 30th - May 1st holiday, featuring many attractive cultural, sports, and tourism activities such as: Art program: Cau River - Where the Source Converges; Performance of typical intangible cultural heritage "Cau River - The Source of Heritage" with representative heritages: Then singing and Luon singing of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups (Bac Kan), Tac Xinh dance of the San Chay ethnic group (Thai Nguyen), Quan Ho singing (Bac Ninh), Cheo singing (Bac Giang), Xam singing (Hanoi), Ca Tru singing (Hai Duong); Exhibition of paintings and photographs of tourism in the Cau River basin provinces; Mountain bike race on the new route between Bac Kan city and Ba Be Lake; Bac Kan Province Open Pickleball Tournament 2025; Fair of regional specialties of the Cau River basin; 2. Investment promotion workshops and nature exploration tours promise to offer visitors exciting experiences, allowing them to feel the peace amidst pristine nature and the hospitality of the local people, opening up opportunities for tourism development linkages between provinces; inviting investors and travel agencies to pay attention to developing tourism in the Cau River basin.
