Opening of Dong Giang Heaven's Gate Eco-tourism Area

Attending the opening ceremony was Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Do Thanh Trung. Representing Quang Nam province were Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Le Van Dung, along with other leaders of the Provincial People's Council and Provincial People's Committee.

The official opening of the Dong Giang Heaven's Gate Eco-tourism Area adds a new destination, opening up many unique and attractive tourism products. This is a driving event, laying the groundwork for the strong transformation of the western region and acting as a "magnet" attracting tourists to the mountainous areas of Quang Nam.

According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Tan - Chairman of the Board of Directors of FVG Group (the project investor), thanks to persistent efforts after nearly two years of operation and welcoming guests in phase 1, the tourist area has welcomed more than 120,000 visitors and overnight stays.

"In addition, Dong Giang Sky Gate has also implemented many tourism product packages and continuously launched programs such as the "Spring Festival", the "Dance of the Great Forest" program... aiming to diversify services and help tourists have more experiences of nature and local culture at the tourist area."

"With the goal of building a core workforce to create jobs, contribute to poverty reduction, and develop the local economy , from the construction phase to operation, the project has recruited nearly 1,000 workers from the Co Tu ethnic minority in the locality," said Mr. Nguyen Anh Tan.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu acknowledged and highly appreciated the determination and decisiveness of FVG Group in completing and putting the project into operation despite facing many difficulties and challenges due to natural disasters, epidemics, and limited infrastructure conditions.

"I hope that the Dong Giang Heaven's Gate Ecotourism Area will not only be an attractive destination for relaxation and exploring the beauty of nature, but also a model in promoting ecotourism, respecting the natural beauty and biodiversity of the area, and preserving the environment for sustainable development," said Mr. Ho Quang Buu.

“In the second quarter of 2024, the Dong Giang Heaven's Gate Eco-tourism Area is expected to officially launch its cable car system – the first cable car line in Quang Nam province, with a cable length of 1,601m and an altitude difference of 800m above sea level. The highlight of this project is its design, which incorporates decorative motifs from the traditional culture of the Co Tu ethnic group.”
Along with many entertainment and recreational facilities completed in phase 2 of the tourist area, this will contribute to diversifying visitors' experiences during their travels, aiming to realize the goal of welcoming more than 100,000 visitors per year.
