From the center of Gia Nghia to Ta Dung is about 50 km. The closer we get to our destination, the cooler the air becomes thanks to the forests on both sides of the road. The scenery is peaceful, and the car glides smoothly along the winding roads that hug the green hillsides covered with trees. Wildflowers bloom in vibrant colors along the roadside, creating a delightful sight for everyone. Approaching the Dong Nai 3 hydroelectric reservoir, from above, you can admire dozens of large and small islands undulating and immerse yourself in nature. It's no exaggeration to say that some people call this place the "Ha Long Bay of the Central Highlands." But it must be added that the "essence of the forest" is hard to find anywhere else.

Our group rented two boats and traveled for about 20 minutes to reach a "desert island"—one of dozens of islands on the hydroelectric reservoir. The boats glided across the lake, with fishing nets visible on either side, adding an interesting contrast to the lush green forest and clear blue water. At the foot of the islands, the waves of the lake lapped against the shore, creating a rustling sound. Once ashore, the group began experiencing life on the "desert island," with some cutting bamboo to build tents to sleep in; others gathering firewood for warmth and cooking; and still others going fishing...
The "desert island," with its pristine beauty and tranquil atmosphere, delighted everyone in the group. They quickly set up tents made of bamboo and leaves, nestled among the green trees. After setting up camp, the group plunged into the crystal-clear water, swimming and watching the sunset – there's no more delightful feeling. As night fell, the rhythm of life on the lake began to unfold. Lights flickered on, and the sound of oars splashing in the water from fishing boats echoed through the quiet hills.

The most fascinating thing about this place is that in the morning, even when the sun is high in the sky, the mountain mist still lingers, "hanging" over the forests. In the misty atmosphere, standing on the high ground of the island and extending your hand, it feels as if you could scoop up handfuls of mist. The sunrise here left the whole group speechless before the peaceful scene unfolding before their eyes. Each ray of sunlight pierced through the lazy clouds, making everything move slowly. The sunrise on this "desert island" is so slow and peaceful, making it unforgettable for anyone who visits. The beauty and unspoiled nature of this "desert island" bring everyone a delightful feeling. For backpackers, that's all they need to temporarily escape work and the hustle and bustle of the city, to immerse themselves in nature.
