As part of the activities celebrating major national holidays, the People's Committee of Tran Phu Ward organized the "First Rural Market in 2026" at the Lien Nhat Village Eco-tourism Area (Lien Nhat Hamlet, Tran Phu Ward, Ha Tinh Province). The market was held over two days, from April 29th to 30th. The market space was arranged along both sides of the road in Lien Nhat and Lien Thanh residential areas, with 12 stalls, creating a convenient space for locals and tourists to visit, experience, and shop.
The stalls displayed a diverse range of agricultural products, OCOP products, and specialty products from businesses, cooperatives, and households in the area, such as Cuong Nga honey, Luan Nghiep fish sauce, and many other agricultural products and processed foods.
In addition, the market also showcases agricultural products (vegetables, tubers, fruits, etc.) directly produced and supplied by local people.
Local people appreciate the significance of the market, its welcoming atmosphere, the guaranteed quality of goods, and reasonable prices, which attract consumers.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung (Tan Hoc residential area, Tran Phu ward) said: "The market was organized very meaningfully, with a familiar atmosphere and a strong rural feel. The stalls were diverse, ensuring quality and reasonable prices, thus attracting many people to visit and shop. I am very impressed with this rural market."
Mr. Tran Van Hoang (owner of Hoang Linh Huong Clean Incense business, Tran Phu ward) shared: “Participating in the rural market, besides trading activities, we hope to contribute to spreading and promoting our characteristic agarwood products such as agarwood incense cones, agarwood bracelets, agarwood essential oil… to a large number of people and tourists. This is also a meaningful opportunity for local producers to interact, connect, gradually expand the market, and enhance the value and competitiveness of their products.” Food stalls offering a variety of tempting ready-made dishes have become a familiar stop, especially appealing to children.
Interspersed within the buying and selling activities are cultural performances and folk games, contributing to enriching the spiritual life and recreating the beauty of traditional lifestyles.
In addition, stalls selling handcrafted gifts and calligraphy also attract many people to the market.
Participating in the market fair is an opportunity for shop owners to promote their products and get closer to consumers.
Through this market, Tran Phu ward continues to strengthen the links between people, businesses, and cooperatives; gradually building a product value chain and expanding the consumer market.
The "First Rural Market Fair in 2026" contributes to promoting trade, advertising OCOP products and distinctive local agricultural products. At the same time, the event also contributes to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, aiming for sustainable socio-economic development.
