Taking place from May 18th to June 18th at the Da Nang Museum, the exhibition “Universe - Humanity - Intelligence” introduces the public to advanced scientific research in Germany, focusing on five main themes: the Universe, Human History, the Brain, Anthropocene, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The exhibition is designed to be accessible and interactive, with easy-to-understand content accompanied by images, graphics, models, animations, films, podcasts, and high-tech interactive elements. Combining accessible general knowledge with insights from the latest scientific research in Germany, the exhibition aims to reach a wide audience while also providing more in-depth perspectives for those particularly interested in science.

The highlight of the exhibition's opening ceremony is the interactive UMI exploration experience with parallel discovery journeys. Attendees will participate in guided tours led by science media experts, exploring five main themes through interactive explanations, hands-on activities, and original content in German via the Discovery Passport.

The UMI exhibition aims to demonstrate that scientific research is highly valued in Germany and is an important part of German culture. At the same time, science in Germany has a solid international cooperation network and offers many opportunities for students and young researchers from around the world, as evidenced by many specific examples in this exhibition, ” shared Ms. Thai Mai Lan, Director of the Goethe Institute Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Huynh Dinh Quoc Thien, Director of the Da Nang Museum, said that the exhibition "Universe - Humanity - Intelligence" not only brings to the public advanced scientific knowledge from Germany, but also opens up a journey of profound reflection on the place of humanity in the vast universe; on the evolutionary history of humankind; on the brain, where consciousness and creativity are formed; on the impact of humans on the planet; as well as on the future of artificial intelligence in life. A highlight of the exhibition is its approachable, lively, and highly interactive approach through images, models, films, experiential activities, and modern interactive technology, making science more accessible to the public, especially the younger generation. This is also a trend that modern museums around the world are moving towards.

In the context of Vietnam strongly promoting science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, this exhibition is even more practical and meaningful, contributing to spreading the spirit of love for science, encouraging exploratory thinking, and connecting international knowledge with the local community,” said Huynh Dinh Quoc Thien, Director of the Da Nang Museum, adding that the exhibition also contributes to strengthening cultural, educational, and scientific exchanges between Vietnam and Germany.

Previously, the exhibition, which was launched in Germany in 2021, has toured many cities in Europe and Asia. After being held in Hanoi in March and April 2026, the UMI exhibition will be showcased in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. Da Nang is the second stop in Vietnam for this exhibition.
