Through this conference, we aim to clarify the process of building, fighting, and maturing; the heroic traditions, fine qualities, and important, decisive factors that have created the indomitable strength of the Vietnam People's Army in the cause of national liberation, building, and defending the Fatherland.

The seminar also served as an opportunity to affirm the role, stature, and historical significance of the birth of the Vietnam People's Army and the National Defense Day; to draw historical experiences and lessons to continue applying them in building a lean, efficient, and strong Vietnam People's Army, advancing towards modernization, building a strong national defense posture closely linked to a comprehensive people's security posture, and firmly protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.

At the conference, presentations will focus on clarifying the historical context, the leadership and guidance of the Central Party Committee and the Central Military Commission on the process of building, fighting, maturing, and achieving glorious victories of the Vietnam People's Army; continuing to affirm and honor the great achievements and victories that the Vietnam People's Army has achieved throughout various historical periods; the support and assistance of the people to the Army; and the coordination between the People's Army and the People's Public Security and other levels, sectors, and forces in building and protecting the Fatherland.

In addition, delegates analyzed and deepened their understanding of the fundamental principles and laws governing the development, combat, and growth of the Vietnam People's Army in particular, and the people's armed forces in general; the achievements and role of the National Defense Day; and the role of promoting the "people's support" and the strength of national unity in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

The discussions at the Conference also affirmed the role and responsibility of the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army; of all levels, sectors, localities, agencies, and units in building the Vietnam People's Army to develop in a lean, efficient, strong, and modern direction; and in building a national defense system closely linked with the people's security posture.

To date, the Institute of Military History has coordinated with agencies of the Ministry of National Defense, the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Public Security, and Cao Bang province to conduct surveys and develop plans; coordinating and implementing all preparatory work meticulously and closely according to the plan with good quality. Based on the theme, the Institute of Military History has received 117 reports, speeches, and papers out of a total of 119 submissions.

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the presentations were meticulously and seriously researched, closely adhering to the content and theme of the Conference, contributing to clarifying the materials; the events were explored with new, rich, and reliable perspectives, and the approach to problem-solving was scientific, persuasive, and of high quality.
