(PLVN) - On January 17, at Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park (Hai An District, Hai Phong ), Exquisite Power Vietnam Science and Technology Company Limited (invested by Chinese investors) inaugurated the Vietnam LI-ION and Ni-MH battery installation system project with a total investment of over 20 million USD.
Mr. Le Trung Kien, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, highly appreciated the efforts of the investor in the project construction process, ensuring progress and safety, and at the same time requested the investor to continue promoting the achieved results, organizing effective and sustainable production and business.
At the same time, the company actively cooperates with the city in training human resources and ensuring social security for employees. The company needs to research and select modern technological solutions in production that are environmentally friendly, aiming to reduce emissions in production, accompanying Hai Phong city on the journey of green transformation in industrial production.
On the side of Hai Phong city, the city government and the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board together with departments, branches and sectors pledged to continue to support, accompany, closely monitor and assist the company throughout the project's operation.
Mr. Le Trung Kien affirmed: Regarding economic cooperation, China has the second largest total investment capital among 42 countries and territories investing in Hai Phong. Up to now, Hai Phong has 241 projects of Chinese investors; including large corporations such as Flat, Tongwei, TP Link, Sanhua, Autel... with a total investment capital of 6 billion USD (accounting for 23% of total FDI capital in economic zones and industrial parks).
According to Mr. Le Trung Kien, the Government has announced the Decision to establish the Southern Hai Phong Economic Zone; in which 4 industrial parks have been established. The Southern Hai Phong Economic Zone is a green, ecological economic zone, closely following the international trend of ESG (a set of standards used to evaluate the performance of enterprises in considering environmental, social and governance factors in business activities) and the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions - Net Zero along with outstanding preferential policies. Thus, Hai Phong is ready with favorable conditions to welcome foreign investors, especially investors from China.
