On the morning of September 28, in Tran Lam ward, Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation - JSC under Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group ( Petrovietnam ) held the inauguration ceremony of the Red River Delta Oil and Gas Memorial Site.
Comrades: Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Tran Quang Dung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Petrovietnam Group Party Committee; representatives of the Vietnam Oil Corporation and a number of units and localities attended and congratulated.
The memorial area was built on a campus of nearly 5,000 m² at the headquarters of Thai Binh Petroleum Services Joint Stock Company (Tran Lam Ward) - considered the cradle of the Vietnamese Petroleum industry. The project has a ground area of over 300 m², a total floor area of over 1,000 m², including 3 floors. The design concept is in the shape of a drilling rig built on a delta rice field, both majestic and familiar, expressing the true spirit of "fire seekers".
The main hall impresses with the relief of Sen Village - the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh , in the middle is a bronze painting depicting Uncle Ho visiting Baku (Azerbaijan), where he predicted the birth and development of the Vietnamese Oil and Gas industry.
In the traditional room, the first steps of the industry since 1961, the birth of the 36th Petroleum Federation and the 1st Petroleum Company are fully recreated through artifacts, pictures and valuable documents. In particular, the first bottle of crude oil exploited from well No. 63 in 1976 in Tien Hai and many other valuable artifacts are displayed, creating an attractive space for the memorial area.
In addition, the project also has a memorial room for President Ho Chi Minh, rooms displaying artifacts, documents, and pictures from different periods, a hall introducing the achievements of units in the industry, a hall and meeting room, and an outdoor exhibition area with a model of a well and a gas separation device.
The central highlight is a model simulating the panoramic view of exploration and drilling activities in the Red River Delta, a visual symbol reflecting the industry's arduous but proud process.
The inauguration of the Memorial Area on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Petrovietnam's establishment has the meaning of deeply expressing gratitude to previous generations who laid a solid foundation for the national energy industry. The project is also a "red address" for traditional education, helping today's and future generations to be more proud, fostering the will to follow in their fathers' footsteps and opening up opportunities to promote the image of Petrovietnam, becoming a meaningful cultural and historical destination for domestic and foreign friends.
