Inauguration of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Intermediate School

On the morning of August 8th, the Central Executive Board of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church held the inauguration ceremony for the Hoa Hao Buddhist Intermediate School in Trung Hoa hamlet, Phu Tan commune (An Giang province).

Attending the ceremony were Ms. Tran Thi Minh Nga, Deputy Head of the Government's Religious Affairs Committee, Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions; Mr. Danh Lam, Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of An Giang province; representatives from Military Region 9, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province, the Provincial Police, and leaders of Phu Tan commune.

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Hoa Hao Buddhist Intermediate School.

The Hoa Hao Buddhist Vocational School began construction on November 4, 2020. After more than four years of construction, the school was completed on a plot of land nearly 6,000 square ^meters .

Deputy Head of the Government's Religious Affairs Committee, Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, Tran Thi Minh Nga, presented flowers and gifts to offer congratulations.

The school was built with seven main components, including 12 classrooms, an administrative area, functional rooms, a dormitory, and a system of auxiliary facilities. The total construction cost of the school was nearly 60 billion VND, contributed by philanthropists and followers.

Danh Lam, Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of An Giang province, presented flowers to offer congratulations.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Diem, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Executive Board of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church and Principal of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Intermediate School, stated that the school will be a place to train human resources capable of undertaking and serving the religious programs set forth by the Central Executive Board of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church even better.
