On December 17th, the Vietnam Writers Association, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association, organized an exchange program titled "Meeting Vietnamese and Palestinian Poetry". Poet Nguyen Quang Thieu, President of the Vietnam Writers Association, and poet Huu Viet, a member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Writers Association, traveled from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City to participate in the program.

Writer Bich Ngan, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association, called today's program a reunion of poetry. Two years ago, writer Bich Ngan was one of the members of the Vietnamese writers' delegation that visited Palestine.

The poet Murad Sudani himself overcame many difficulties and dangers to welcome the Vietnamese writers' delegation. And today, Murad Sudani is visiting Vietnam with his poetry collection, "The Stone" (published by the Vietnam Writers Association), which has just been published here. The collection of poems is a powerful voice for the yearning for freedom and peace , not only for the Palestinian people but for all of humanity.

Poet Nguyen Quang Thieu believes that poets, regardless of their country or position, always stand on the side of suffering and loss; on the side of freedom and peace. When foreign poets come to Vietnam, there is only one path that leads them here, and that is the path called poetry.

"Poetry is not just a specific poem, but poetry here embodies the beauty and aspirations of humanity. Only peace can erase all differences, and poetry will bring unity to all disagreements," shared poet Nguyen Quang Thieu.

According to poet Murad Sudani, what poets in Palestine do every day is create. “We write about freedom and we write for freedom. We also create to affirm our culture and identity…,” poet Murad Sudani expressed.
