The whole province has 13 colleges including: Dong Nai Technical, Dong Nai High Technology, Dong Nai Medical, Mechanics and Irrigation, Sonadezi Technology and Management, Lilama 2 International Technology, Hoa Binh Xuan Loc, Le Quy Don, Dong Nai Decorative Arts, Binh Phuoc, Mien Dong, Statistics II, Ho Chi Minh City Technology (Dong Nai branch); there are 8 intermediate schools including: Economics - Digital Technology 2, Dinh Tien Hoang, Dong Nai Culture and Arts, Mien Dong, Dong Nai Polytechnic, Mai Linh, Polytechnic Technology, Mien Nam.
This system of training facilities provides training in many professions and fields, in accordance with the needs of the labor market. Every year, in addition to updating the training program (with the participation and comments of businesses), based on training capacity and social needs, schools also open many new professions, focusing on professions with technological elements, directly serving the industrial revolution 4.0.
With its strengths in training in pedagogical and economic fields, in 2022 and 2023, Dong Nai University will open two more technical fields: electrical and electronic engineering technology and mechanical engineering technology. In recent years, the school has always met its enrollment targets in these two fields, while preparing the necessary conditions to build and open new fields to meet the demands of the labor market.
Meanwhile, Dong Nai University of Technology opened 5 new training majors: software engineering, graphic design, multimedia communications, biotechnology, engineering technology - environment. Eastern University of Technology opened more majors: graphic design, multimedia communications, finance - banking, e-commerce. Lac Hong University also opened more majors: multimedia communications, artificial intelligence, international business. Notably, in December 2024, Lac Hong University inaugurated and put into use the Semiconductor Microcircuit Practice Room, affirming its pioneering role in this potential training field...
According to statistics from the Department of Education and Training of Dong Nai, universities in the province currently train more than 50 majors, enrolling an average of 6,500 students each year and graduating more than 4,500 people. For the college system, a total of 80 occupations are being trained by Dong Nai schools, with an annual enrollment of about 12,000 people and a graduation rate of about 7,000 people per year.
Improving the quality of human resource training to serve the process of building and developing the province is a key political task that the Party Committees of universities and colleges lead and direct the schools to implement. This is a very important factor, determining the quality of human resource training of each school.
Party Secretary and Principal of Dong Nai Technical College Huynh Le Tuan Dung said: The 2025-2030 term is also the period when Dong Nai province determines to improve economic development capacity; innovate growth models, promote the increase of new growth drivers... That places high demands on the development of quality human resources. This is an advantage but also a challenge for the school. The school's Party Committee has proposed many solutions and key tasks. In particular, for the important political task of improving training quality, 2 solutions have been identified: promoting quality assurance inspection, actively innovating teaching and learning methods, encouraging scientific research, training cooperation; digital transformation in training; strengthening maintenance and repair of facilities and training equipment to ensure teaching and learning.
Identify opportunities, overcome challenges
For Binh Phuoc College, the 2020-2025 term is a very special term for the school's Party Committee. The school was established in November 2019 on the basis of merging Binh Phuoc Pedagogical College, Binh Phuoc Medical College into Binh Phuoc Vocational College. Implementing the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of the old Binh Phuoc province, Binh Phuoc College has worked with departments, branches and sectors to develop the Project to Restructure Binh Phuoc College for the period 2022-2025, with a vision to 2045. The project aims to improve the quality of training, meeting the socio-economic development needs of the province.
After the project was approved (May 5, 2023), Binh Phuoc College quickly focused on implementing the tasks of implementing the project's content on organizational structure, apparatus, personnel, enrollment plan, training... With the goal of comprehensively and effectively innovating management and operation activities; effectively promoting human resources and facilities of the school; mobilizing and effectively using all investment resources, gradually improving training quality, building the school's brand and reputation commensurate with the potential and resources assigned.
The Party Committee of Binh Phuoc College has led and directed the innovation of programs and teaching methods in a modern direction, applied information technology in teaching and learning, improved training quality according to the motto "learning goes hand in hand with practice", and innovated the way of assessing students.
Party Secretary and Principal of Binh Phuoc College Ha Van Kien commented: The establishment of the new Dong Nai province will create a large industrial - logistics - urban center in the Southeast, leading to a huge demand for highly qualified technical human resources, creating favorable conditions for vocational training institutions in the region to develop, including Binh Phuoc College. However, the competition for enrollment among training institutions in the same new province will be fiercer, requiring schools to have specific strategies, flexible and quality training products, closely linked to practice.
Clearly analyzing the opportunities, advantages, difficulties and challenges, the Party Committee of Binh Phuoc College determined: Building a clean and strong Party organization is the key; improving training quality and developing staff is the center; digital transformation, science - technology and international integration are breakthroughs; school culture and brand are the foundation.
At first glance, it can be seen that there are many tasks that need to be implemented synchronously and must be done immediately. In the immediate future, after the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, the Provincial People's Committee will direct the development of a project on training and attracting high-quality human resources. At the same time, issue an action plan for each stage. In addition to implementing the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, the Provincial People's Committee will also direct the entire provincial education sector and related departments, branches and localities to resolutely implement Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development, making an important contribution to the sustainable and strong development of Dong Nai and the whole country in general.

In the new development stage, when the demand for high-quality human resources, international integration and digital transformation is increasingly urgent, education and training must go one step ahead. The draft Political Report submitted to the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, sets out 3 breakthrough tasks. In which, the first breakthrough task is: "Improving the quality of the staff, especially the key staff at all levels with strong political will, sufficient qualities, capacity, high action and dedication, with prestige equal to the task; developing high-quality human resources in the fields of high-tech industry, logistics, education, health, science - technology, digital transformation".

The draft also proposes key solutions for developing education and training, improving the quality of human resources to meet new development requirements and international integration. One of those solutions is: Training, fostering, and supplying a workforce with qualifications, skills, thinking, and scientific working methods, meeting the requirements of the scientific and technological revolution and digital transformation.
Accordingly, attract, employ, and utilize talents in the field of management and education, develop Dong Nai province into a regional center for education - training, vocational education; focus resources on building Dong Nai University into a modern, high-quality higher education institution towards regional and international standards. Build and deploy chain training models, connect with startup centers, innovation centers and large domestic and foreign enterprises and corporations.
At the same time, Dong Nai will also focus on building a team of strategic intellectuals to serve the industry, agriculture, services, and tourism sectors of the province in the future... Strengthen the training of a workforce suitable for new occupations; focus on vocational training for rural workers and workers in ethnic minority areas. Strengthen student streaming in general education; organize well career guidance and job counseling activities.
According to Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son, Dong Nai is a key province in industrial development. At the same time, the Long Thanh International Airport coming into operation, along with the formation of the airport urban area, Long Thanh Free Trade Zone, will become the core driving force for the province's development. With advantages in traffic connection, Dong Nai also has great potential for developing logistics, trade, services, tourism, etc. These are the potentials and advantages that help Dong Nai achieve the target of double-digit growth in the long term (20 years).
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee analyzed: "To serve the development process, we clearly need a large number of high-quality human resources in many professions. To do so, Dong Nai needs to synchronously deploy many solutions and tasks such as: streamlining students after secondary school; connecting businesses and schools in both training and job creation activities; issuing loan policies from the Social Policy Bank to support people's children in vocational training. In addition, there must be strategies and policies to attract and reward high-quality human resources from outside; policies must be good and stable so that talented people can confidently contribute and truly consider Dong Nai as their second homeland...".
With the consensus of the entire Party, government and people, along with correct and drastic policies, high-quality human resources will contribute to helping Dong Nai not only maintain its position as an important economic growth pole but also grow stronger, worthy of a large province in terms of area, population and economic scale.
