Among them, we paid special attention to Lieutenant Le Vu Hong Trang, a grassroots cultural officer in the Propaganda Department, Political Division, Ninh Thuan Provincial Military Command. We learned that Hong Trang had decided to put her personal happiness on hold to participate in the A80 mission. Sharing her joy at being part of the training team, Hong Trang said: “Both families had agreed to plan our wedding on May 1st. However, close to the wedding day, I received a summons to join the training team for the A80 mission. Honestly, at that time I was torn between choosing my personal happiness and participating in this sacred mission.” At that moment, her future husband untangled the knot with simple but profoundly meaningful encouragement: “Just complete the mission at hand, and we can postpone the wedding. The opportunity to participate in such a major event isn't something everyone gets.”

Not only her boyfriend but also both families wholeheartedly supported her. This understanding and sharing became a source of spiritual motivation, helping Hong Trang become stronger, more confident, and steadfast in overcoming the initial days of arduous training. “His love and understanding, as well as that of my family and relatives, are my solid support system and the motivation for me to dedicate myself wholeheartedly. I believe that this empathy will help us build a lasting foundation for our marriage,” Hong Trang confided.

Further investigation revealed that, participating in the A80 mission, Military Region 5 was assigned to form two parade contingents: a contingent of male maritime militia and a contingent of female special forces soldiers. The participating forces came not only from Military Region 5 but also included Military Regions 4, 7, and 9, the 34th Corps, and the Army Officer School 2. These were all outstanding officers and soldiers with strong political qualities, high discipline, good health, and a deep pride in the heroic traditions of the Vietnam People's Army.

Major Pham The Ha, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Military Command of Dai Loc District ( Quang Nam Provincial Military Command), who is in charge of training the female special forces soldiers, shared: “Although they have to train with high intensity in harsh weather conditions, with a deep understanding of the mission and receiving the attention and encouragement from commanders at all levels, soldier Le Vu Hong Trang, as well as the other female soldiers, temporarily put aside their personal feelings and are highly determined to strive to excellently complete their mission.”
