When published in conjunction with tourism.

“We have worked with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to be allowed to use the Vietnam Tourism logo and the slogan “Vietnam - Endless Beauty” on the cover of each book. We hope to contribute our part in the publishing field to introduce, promote, and help boost Vietnamese tourism,” shared Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh, Deputy Director of the National Political Publishing House.

Introducing the destinations of Vietnam.

Starting in early 2024 with the publication "Sa Pa Amidst White Clouds," the Vietnam - Endless Beauty book series of the National Political Publishing House has successively introduced to readers the following publications: "A Companion on the Journey Through Hoi An's Culture," "Tam Dao - Sacred Land of Tourism," "Mu Cang Chai - A Symphony Between Nature and Culture," "A Dear Hue Now," and most recently, "Ha Giang - The Land of Blooming Stones."

Many attractive destinations in Vietnam have been featured in the book series "Vietnam - Endless Beauty".

In early April this year, within the framework of the Ha Giang Cultural and Tourism Space in Ho Chi Minh City, the National Political Publishing House organized an exchange program and introduced the publication "Ha Giang - Land of Blooming Stones" at the Ho Chi Minh City Book Street, as an invitation for tourists and city residents to visit the northernmost region of the country.

At the event, Ms. Vuong Ngoc Ha, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Giang province, expressed her gratitude to the authors for visiting and experiencing the culture, scenery, and people to create a book that is very meaningful to Ha Giang province. “When mentioning Ha Giang, everyone remembers the borderland at the northernmost point of the country. There, 19 ethnic groups live, each with their own unique cultural identity and landscape. This publication will be a product to introduce Ha Giang to friends nationwide and also a product to attract tourism to Ha Giang province,” Ms. Vuong Ngoc Ha stated.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh, from the very beginning of planning this book collection, those involved aspired to cover all the destinations in Vietnam's provinces and cities. However, this depends on many factors, including how to travel to all the destinations to experience, write about, publish, and distribute the books as they do now. "Previously, I worked alone, but now I have a team of reporters from various newspapers and magazines who are working together to support me. This is the contribution of the publishing industry in cooperation with reporters and journalists to continue writing about these destinations. We didn't set a specific number, but only hoped to contribute to creating products that serve as a guide and companion for cultural tourism when visitors experience a region or a destination," Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh shared.

A trusted travel companion

Planning a trip to Hue City, Ms. Bich Phuong (an office worker in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) took advantage of the weekend to visit the Ho Chi Minh City Book Street to find books about the region to gather information and prepare for her trip. Being someone who loves learning about culture, Ms. Bich Phuong was delighted to see the bookshelf titled "Vietnam - Endless Beauty".

“This bookshelf not only tells stories about nature or historical sites, but also reveals very authentic and human glimpses into culture, history, and life. Even though we can find everything online these days, for me, books – especially those about culture and travel – still play a role in guiding readers to slow down, feel more deeply, and explore each region with genuine respect and emotion. Books not only provide information, but also inspire love and appreciation for Vietnamese culture,” Ms. Bich Phuong expressed.

Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh added that the team has completed the drafts on Dien Bien and Da Nang and is currently working on a publication about tourism and culture in Ho Chi Minh City. "Writing about Ho Chi Minh City can't be limited to just a few books; that would be too heavy and difficult to read. We plan to create a line of pocket-sized books with diverse content, starting with a book about culinary tourism," Mr. Binh revealed.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh, while there are many travel books available, they mostly only provide basic information such as where to go, where to stay, and what to eat. The "Vietnam - Endless Beauty" book series is defined as a collection of travelogues and cultural tourism books, written by authors based on their own experiences. "That's why we want these books to be a companion on cultural tourism for travelers. And it's also in response to Resolution 08 of the Politburo on developing tourism into a key economic sector," Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh shared.
