Healthy and beautiful to welcome the new year.

As the New Year approaches, the pressure to "have everything perfect"—a spotless home, well-cared-for children, and a fresh, radiant appearance—leads many women, despite their busy schedules, to still make time for beauty treatments and self-care. This is both to feel confident during the Tet holiday and to relieve stress and prepare energy for the new year, finding a balance between nurturing family and self-love.

Women are exercising to maintain their youthfulness, health, and beauty in anticipation of the new year.

According to many people's beliefs, during the New Year, a fresh face and a neat appearance not only help women feel confident but also carry auspicious meanings – wishing for everything to go smoothly, achieving great success, and enjoying complete happiness.

Hair is an important part of beauty, as it not only creates an impression and enhances facial features but also reflects personal style. Therefore, many women invest in taking care of their hair. Ms. Thanh Lan from Thanh Phu commune said: “Every year, about a month before Tet (Lunar New Year), my daughter and daughter-in-law and I go to get our hair done to welcome the new year. Getting our hair done together allows us to give each other feedback and strengthens family bonds. I always encourage my children and grandchildren to take care of their appearance, especially having beautiful hair for the new year.”

On the weekend, Ms. Thuy Dung from Phu Loc commune, after her morning coffee, stopped by her usual salon for a hair treatment. There was a 30% discount promotion, so she opted for a "full package." Ms. Thuy Dung said: "As a businesswoman, I pay close attention to my appearance and dress neatly to create a good impression and build trust with customers. After handling urgent orders at the end of the year, I had many sleepless nights, coupled with irregular eating habits, which weakened my health and caused my hair to break and fall out. I sought out hair care services to improve this situation. Besides that, I also had my eyebrows reshaped to create a more balanced face and make a better impression on others. When you look good and feel confident, it helps your work go more smoothly."

Drawing on her experience with beauty treatments over the past few Tet holidays, Ms. Ngoc Diem from Hung Phu ward said: “In previous years, sometimes due to busy work schedules and family commitments, I didn't plan ahead, so when I went to the salon close to Tet, it was very crowded, and I had to wait a lot of time. Later, my colleagues and I arranged to meet around the end of December – a time when many beauty salons have discount and promotional programs – to get beauty treatments together. In addition, I maintain yoga sessions and go for walks with my friends to keep my figure in shape, my spirits high, and reduce work stress.”

Besides beautifying their hair and eyebrows, many women focus on skincare. Not only young people but also middle-aged women are very interested in this service. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, a resident of Cai Rang ward, over 60 years old and running a family restaurant, said: “Due to the nature of my work, I am exposed to kitchen smoke and grease, which affects my skin. Looking back at myself as Tet approaches, I see my hair is messy and my skin looks dull. My children suggested I take the opportunity to have a skincare and rejuvenation treatment. During the beauty process, I prioritize the quality of service and always go to reputable establishments.”

At this time of year, e-commerce platforms, stores, shops, and supermarkets all have promotional programs and discounts, with many offering deep discounts of half price on clothing, cosmetics, perfumes, etc. Ms. Ngoc Cam from Hung Phu ward said: “I am a civil servant, my husband is a freelancer, and we have two children. Our combined monthly income is only about 20 million VND, so I am very careful with my spending. With many promotions at the end of the year, I take advantage of the opportunity to buy clothes and cosmetics to look beautiful and prepare for Tet.”

Appearing with a new, radiant, and fresh look, and receiving compliments from family, friends, and colleagues, makes women more confident and cheerful, starting the new year with positive energy. However, women also need to carefully consider choosing a reputable beauty salon that ensures their health, fits their budget , and suits their work schedule.
